Magical neighborhood location and only .9 mile walk from our house. This fantastic coffeeshop founded by the wife of Susie's college math advisor. You could spend hours people watching here. The seminary across the street has a large park and you'll see countless dogs, yoga events, neighbors running into neighbors. Great food, great espresso beverages, strong brews.

In addition to the turtles, there are seven oversized turtle eggs, three of which include hatching baby turtles, and a long sinuous snake that appears to be taking a bite out of the overpass.
Created by Bob Cassilly, founder of the unique and quirky City Museum, the sculptures range from seven to forty feet in length. Turtle Playground was designed by Richard Claybour and funded by Sonya “Sunny” Glassberg as a gift to the children of St. Louis. The turtles are named for her children and grandchildren. The area is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

DeMun Park, located at the corner of Southwood and DeMun, in the business district of the Demun Neighborhood is a neighborhood play area. There are 2 playgrounds available, one for children ages 2 to 5 and the other for 5 to 12 year olds. A decorative steel fence with a gate to keep the youngsters safe from traffic surrounds this 1/2-acre, level space. The winding walk around the central raised garden is a great path for little ones to ride their cycles. Benches provide an area for parents to talk while keeping an eye on their children. Large trees keep the park dappled in shade, while the colorful garden delights with seasonal interest
