“One of Vancouver's oldest vegetarian restaurants, The Naam, is located in Kitsilano. Open 24-hours a day, the restaurant’s yam fries with miso gravy have inspired many a late-night stop after a night out on the town. There are also many additional healthy, organic and farm-to-table options. For instance, down by the water, along the foot of Yew Street and Cornwall, you'll find a plethora of laid-back neighbourhood bars and restaurants. They tend to serve delicious seafood, along with wines and cocktails to match. Along West 4th, expect polished dining with a multicultural twist. Meanwhile, West Broadway boasts inspiring Greek and Mediterranean food, as many of Vancouver's Greek immigrants originally settled here.”

Asian Restaurant
$$
“Secretly tucked away in Chinatown, this Cambodian-Vietnamese restaurant serves up affordable and delicious Asian dishes in an unfancy and relaxed environment. Our go-to's on this menu: 1. Beef Luc Lak: beef on rice with a delicious gravy, don't forget to add the fried egg. I like to have this with the egg noodle INSTEAD of the rice -- the egg noodle combination is not on the menu, I highly recommend you ask for it on the egg noodles if you are a noodle-lover like me. My husband likes the rice -- the secret is to pour the fish sauce over the beef, veggies and egg and then mix it all together with the rice (or noodles). We've heard people say it's underwhelming when they eat the dish without mixing it together and we agree -- mix it. 2. Butter Beef: the beef is slightly seared and has a rare look and texture (much like beef carpaccio). It's dressed with an umami-garlicky vinaigrette on top and cilantro. If you eat rare beef (and even if you don't) this is a signature dish and a must-try. 3. Chicken Wings: My husband's favorite, it's deep-fried with garlic and black pepper, and then served with a lemon, salt, and pepper dipping sauce. These are addictive. During peak hours the line-ups are out the door and it can get chaotic. If you're in the Chinatown area give this place a go OR if you're looking for a tried-and-true place to have Asian food in Vancouver, this is a good bet. ”

“Hugely successful "Upscale Casual" restaurant chain this location being situated right on the beach at English. Best place to watch the sunset, especially on their patio in the summer. Late night happy hour drink and food specials. Must try: Prawn Ravioli (you can order as a starter and share) Pro Tip: Ask to be seated downstairs (especially in the winter) for a more lively scene and more of a feel like you are right at the water.”
