“The Ruby Slipper Cafe was founded in May 2008, after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Mid-City, New Orleans neighborhood. In recovery from that life-changing storm, husband & wife - Erich & Jennifer found an opportunity to turn a blighted corner store into a vibrant gathering place where neighbors could enjoy excellent Breakfast, Lunch & Brunch fare in a casual and inviting atmosphere. Great southern style breakfast with a local flare and maybe the best ever "bacon" bloody marry's.”

“This is one of the best places to view the city. Go into the hotel and go up to the 41st floor. It has floor to ceiling windows and almost has a 360 degree view of the city. It's a bit strange to go into a hotel but it's too beautiful not to go see.”
