I have just got home from a fabulous week at Trengrove Cottage - what a wonderful place! Ian and Derek were superb hosts - excellent communication, and instant response to questions. Trengrove is so beautiful, and the facilities are superb - lots of little (and big) touches, including slippers! We cooked a couple of times, and the kitchen is really well equipped. The new fire is great, and the instructions are easy to follow!

What a stunning cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It looked good and felt good, an admirable mix of quality and comfort throughout. The location was perfect, a quiet rural retreat away from everything and everybody in a beautiful part of the country. It was also great to take our much loved and very well behaved dog along. She loved it too. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

Initial contact with Ian was very friendly and very very quick. Booking was easy and the information provided was very accurate and really detailed. Now on to the cottage. It's beautiful, just as it looks in the photographs, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you could ask for. We have had a really comfortable, cosy, peaceful stay. Ian is a fantastic host who responds promptly to emails and requests and has a fantastic holiday home which we have been lucky enough to stay in for a great holiday in Cornwall. Highly recommend this cottage, we will definitely be back.

The cottage is delightful, exactly as described. The kitchen is very well equipped, lovely crockery and glassware and very nice furnishings. We arrived late and were pleased to find a welcome tray with tea and cornish shortbread waiting for us. Lots of useful information too about the surrounding countryside. We had a problem with our car as we were leaving, and met Ian's brother Derrick who had come to prepare the cottage for the next guests. He was so helpful and kind and assisted us in every way possible, while we waited for assistance from the RAC. Altogether a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Trevenna Cottage such a stunning place, it was clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Ian was a great host and was very thoughtful! He had laid out tea and biscuits for our arrival and as it was our first wedding anniversary he even gave us a bottle of fizz. The decor is beautiful, it's a really relaxing and we would 100% come back again.

Staying at Trevenna Cottage was the best choice ever :-) the scenery is so beautiful and the cottage itself is a very lovely and warm place. Ian is a great host and more than helpful. He provided a lot of important information and personal instructions that made us feel very welcome. The gorgeous cottage is well equipped, with a fantastic multi-fuel stove. Nearly all rooms have been beautifully refitted in the last couple of months and now the cottage looks amazing! Furniture and decoration have been chosen with love for individuality. I would highly recommend this cottage to all who look for a romantic or relaxing break. Thanks very much,Ian, for making our stay that perfect! Laura & Iris

We are currently travelling around England from Australia and wanted to experience an English cottage in Cornwall. We did our research and located this gem of a place. From day one Ian the host has been nothing but helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was more than helpful and has taken the time to ensure everything goes to plan on our arrival from Australia. We have not experienced the small country lanes before and thankfully Ian provided full directions and even checked that we had arrived ok via email. The place was easy as a result of the directions and is situated in an idyllic quite location which was superb for us after a busy few days in London. A drive over to Padstow or Fowey was no problem at all from this spot. This cottage is suited to those wanting to have a break away from the hustle and bustle and is well suited to rest and relaxation away from it all. We stayed four nights and were well rested as a result. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you could need. One night we visited Looe and purchased the best local seafood we have had in a long time and returned to have a lovely meal in the private garden. The location is secluded but in no way an issue to get around local spots. The bed was super comfortable and we had some of the best sleep in a long time. We will leave this location with some great memories of Cornwall and this cottage only added to the experiance. I can't think of any negatives at all about this place and the interaction with Ian the host was supurb. Thanks Ian for preparing the firewood and coal so we could enjoy a warming fireplace. Big Thumbs up from us we had a great time. We will be back on our next trip to England.

We loved this tranquil little cottage! For us it had everything we wanted for our mini-moon: a forest walk right by the cottage, short drive to the beaches and coastal path and, importantly, peace & seclusion. We really feel relaxed coming home after being in such a beautiful setting. Ian as a host couldn't be better, communication was quick and it genuinely seems as though he's thought of everything you may need at the cottage (including arranging on my behalf a bottle of champagne to be waiting for us on arrival). Genuinely wish all hosts were as good as Ian. In terms of the food in the area we in particular loved 'the coddy shack' for its hugely sized fish and chips and the thai restaurant in Looe. But as with all holidays im sure there are many more gems to be found.

Wonderful short break away at Trevenna Cottage. Superbly looked after, beautiful little cottage that we could make our home away from home for 3 nights. Really clear directions (we regularly visit the Looe area so know how narrow and easy to get lost in the lanes are!) and a relaxing arrival with everything we could think of taken care of. Would recommend the coastal walk as set out in the visitors book, a cosy night in using all the cooking bits available, and a relaxing morning in the fluffy bath robes! Super stay, lovely hosting, can't wait to go back!

We had a lovely stay at Trevenna, the hamlet is a world away from the hustle and bustle of every day life... Just what we needed! The pool is a great addition and was used every day. The surrounding area is so nice too. We would highly recommend these cottages to any one visiting the area.

We're so grateful that Darren and Alex shared their lovely home with us. The space they've created is stunning - and in a great location too. Both were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome but without being in any way obtrusive. The room itself was great, as was the accompanying bathroom, and we came away from the whole experience feeling they'd taken b and b to a whole new level. We look forward to our next visit, and in the meantime will be recommending the mill wholeheartedly to family and friends. Nige and Gerry

A fantastic stay with Alex and Darren in their incredible home! We were made to feel welcome from the second we arrived. After being shown around the stunning house we settled into the bedroom where everything was perfectly taken care of. The breakfast on offer was a great selection of cereals, toast and we were very lucky to be offered probably the best omelette I have ever had. The mill gives wonderful views across the quay and it is great just to sit and watch the boats coming in and out whilst in the kitchen. I had a lovely stay at Lipson. The hosts were friendly and chatty but also respected that I was tired in the evenings, which I appreciated a lot! I really enjoyed my stay at Lipson, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Eila has thought of everything to make this a perfect stay - the kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately, Eila was away during my visit but was in contact to make sure that everything was going well. Lovely bright, spacious room in the top floor apartment. The whole apartment was very clean and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. It was the ideal location for me as I was spending a few days at the university. It's also very close to town and has a nice park with views of the Hoe just across from it. Elia was a great host and looked after me well and the other tenant also made me feel welcome. Plenty of peace and quiet in the evenings too - ideal for anyone needing to visit on work.

The house is in a beautiful location, which is quiet yet near enough to the local pub(by car) and lots of sightseeing. It is also very near to the A30, which is the main road to south Cornwall. We enjoyed our stay over Easter Weekend break. Karen waited for us to give a key to the Farmhouse and a brief introduction to the area after we arrived a bit later than we expected. The area is beautiful, near a nice cosy pub and restuarant. Supermarket is not too far away. 30 mins drive to the Eden project, Boscastle town (highly recommended), and Tintagle Castle. The Farmhouse is spacious and beautiful. You don't need anything for the kitchen if you love cooking. The only thing we forgot to take with us was pairs of slippers. Would love to come back to again and recommend for family for a get away break.

We have just spent a most relaxing and wonderful weekend at this lovely retreat in Cornwall. Everything there was absolutely perfect. The setting is beautiful, the beds were sumptuous, the area is peaceful (and full of natural wildlife) and was just perfect for walking. The house is very well equipped and even had board games. The Lodge was in a really lovely area which was very green and peaceful. Although just in the border of Cornwall everything was a reasonably short drive away and the country roads were an adventure themselves with stunning countryside and small villages to explore. We got to see a lot and visit lots of places, even as far as St Ives and Penzance with the drive back being a reasonably short distance. We all had a lovely stay and the house was amazing, such a large living area and great kitchen with all you need. The lodge had sky tv and a very good speaker system so we were entertained when relaxing in the evenings. Overall we loved our stay and I can't think of one negative thing at all. Beds were really comfy and we had plenty of pillows and nice duvets. Each room had an en suite which was fantastic. Plenty of room for all 6 of us plus a two year old child too. I would stay at this property again definitely.

The location was absolutely perfect, secluded but only a half hour from Plymouth. The house was so perfect and met all our needs. Bedrooms were nicely sized with en suit bathrooms to each. The upstairs living area was such a great family room where we spent most of our time with a roaring fire. A very welcoming property in a glorious location with great views and plenty and of wildlife. Very peaceful, just the sound of a trickling stream and the various species of birds all around. We had lovely weather for the time of year which added greatly to the scenery. Parking more than adequate and spacious, yet comfy, rooms. Three very large sofas and a big six seater dining table offered more than sufficient space for our party of 4 adults and one child. All three bedrooms have their own on suite which was an excellent bonus. Highly recommended!

Myself and my two children had a wonderfully peaceful stay here. As accommodation goes it was more expensive than I usually pay but we really enjoyed the benefits resulting. The house was clean and spacious (no small amount of property envy experienced) and the kids loved having their own rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs was a lovely space and the kitchen was very well equipped. We thought we’d be eating out in the evenings but in the end it was really easy, and a pleasure, to cook in. Shame the weather wasn't so good as I can imagine that using the balcony would be great in the summer.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely lodge with 3 generations of the family. Just a warning phone signal is non existent in the area, so making arrangements with family whilst we were there was tricky, thank goodness for the provided wifi and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). really would recommend the lodge for a quiet getaway, and a nature lovers dream. A quick stroll over the footbridge and you pop up on the 13th hole, watch out. But for an eveniiing stroll to burn off some kiddy energy it was fab, chasing pheasants and listening to the bird song in the forest. I thought there might be some more trails through the forest, but sticking to the golf cart trails was just as much fun.

Phone signal is pretty hard to come by (but wifi is good!) as you are right out in the sticks however the setting is beautiful and peaceful. Caroline provided useful information including directions to get there and local eateries. We all discussed how it would be nice to come back and do it again - making use of the St Mellion golf club and spa next time! Couldn't fault at all!

Everything from start to finish worked perfectly for our stay. Caroline was extremely prompt and helpful with any queries we had, directions and info on how to get to and into the lodge were clear - and the lodge itself, incredibly well appointed - we really wanted for nothing. The location and views really are stunning, and such a beautiful peaceful surround. We recommend this lodge unreservedly and will definitely be coming back - in the summer if we can find availability!.

The lodge was very comfortable and ideal for our short 3 night stay. The surroundings were very remote which makes a nice change from the hustle and bustle of London and I would certainly recommend to others. You are within an hours drive of most tourist hotspots and the drives are very scenic. All in all a nice weekend and the people we met were very friendly and helpful which made for an enjoyable stay. We look forward to our next trip down to this part of the world...

We stayed here for 3 nights around the August bank holiday and it is a great property. The booking process was easy with Caroline and she was really helpful with any queries we had. The property is finished to a high standard (as per pictures) with all facilities plenty of outside seating. The bedrooms are big enough though the en suite shower rooms were on the small side, but that's not really a problem. The lodge is within an hour of most of Cornwall's tourist spots and 1.5hrs from Lands End. It has good road links to the north and south and approx 10-15 mins from a supermarkets which is ideal. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to stay in Cornwall!

Caroline was fabulous in communication prior to our stay and the information sent to help us find things was perfect. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, yet not far from amenities. The lodge was spacious both inside and out, and generally just lovely, to the point we all said we could have lived there!

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock. Guests have a private courtyard & garden however they also have access to the gardens of the main house. We live on site and are happy to assist and help our guests in any way we can and encourage guests to knock should they require anything to make their stay more comfortable. We have 3 girls who are always happy to have extra children to play with in the gardens. In the summer months there is a trampoline and swings which are guests are welcome to use. The garden of the main house backs onto Dartmoor National Park. The village of Princetown is the home of the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, along with two friendly local pubs serving the infamous Jail Ale and good quality home cooked food. There is also the locally renowned Fox Tor Cafe which serves a great breakfast to set you up for a day of activities on the moor! All are within easy walking distance. The nearby stannary & market town of Tavistock is a ten minute car journey away and has numerous cafes, restaurants and local interesting shops to explore. The pannier market is open almost everyday and regular farmers markets held in the town square sell various locally grown vegetables, rare breed meats and locally made items. Dogs are welcome and we provide essentials such as a dog bowl, dog towels & shampoo.lees meer

A truly lovely cottage inside and out. The rooms and beds were all very comfortable, and our hosts provided us with welcoming cookies and plenty of wood for the fireplace. You will be hard pressed to find a better location in Dartmoor for walking the Tors during the day, and enjoying good pubs nearby at night.

This is a beautiful property in a picturesque village. We arrived much later than agreed due to heavy traffic, and Zoe was very friendly, welcoming and understanding. Even helped us out with some milk due to the shop already being closed by then. And recommended a good pub for dinner! Didn't get time to see much of the village due to this being a short stop over, was quiet when we looked around, being the evening, however there were indications of an active community, with a small selection of shops and amenities. Including the National Park Visitor Centre, which hosts an array of information for the local area - making this a good base for exploring the area. Everyone we met was very friendly. The accommodation is a beautiful conversion done to a very high standard, with all the facilities you'd expect, and set in beautiful gardens far enough form the road to let children play safely.

Zoe' cottage is a modern, comfortable cottage located in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. The cottage made a good base for exploring the National Park and surrounding area. The cottage had everything we needed, was clean and large enough to accommodate the three of us. Zoe was a great host, replied to all my emails quickly, gave good direction to locate the cottage and gave us a welcome pack which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay in Princetown.

The accommodation at the Old Coach House is just ideal. The location within Dartmoor National Park is perfect for hiking or for exploring further in Devon and Cornwall, with easy access to Tavistock if needed. We loved the accommodation itself. It has character, is spacious and comfortable with good heating as well as the fireplace (and well stocked with firewood). The kitchen is well equipped for anyone wishing to prepare meals. Bedding was very comfortable, and the bath much appreciated after a long day. All communication was accurate and timely and hosts, Zoe and Guy, are really helpful, while providing privacy. We loved our stay, can't fault the accommodation and hosts, and hope to return. Highly recommended.

We were elcomed with beautiful lilies fresh flowers, local beer, biscuits and a large supply of logs for the woodburner. Spotlessly clean and excellent facilities throughout. Courtyard was brilliant for our dog, and for us too as thoughtfully having a hose to wash her down after a walk. Pleasure to be able to walk straight onto the moor along pathland paths ....particularly in some sunshine ! Lovely accommodation, very helpful hosts and very comfortable beds, would certainly return. Many thanks indeed to Zoe.

Breakfast is not included. Widecombe is a historic village, with its parish church rightly known as the cathedral of the moor. it is also home to the famous widecombe fair. The area is surrounded by beautiful Tors and streams. Hidden valleys contain the remains of many past settlements, from medieval villages destroyed by the black death, to stone age and bronze age hut circles. the world famous Merrivale stone row is only half hours drive away. Horse riding and canoeing are also popular local activities. surrounding villages and towns offer regular farmers markets, with a taste of local (website hidden) most of these villages you will find a warm welcome in their tearooms and inns. the larger villages also home their own traditional country fair, emphasising country music and folk dancing. Many of Dartmoors long distance walks pass this way, including the very popular two moor way which links the south Dartmoor coast with the Exmoor coast. It takes a little longer, but it is possible to walk to the village across the moor instead of country lanes. We have plenty of maps and guide books to help you! Also in bad weather we can loan you raincoat and wellington boots. Hopefully not needed. Best to bring your own car. You should be aware the nearest food stores and petrol stations are in Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Your own means of transport is essential. Unfortunately, we have no reliable public transport service to Widecombe. Apart from waterproof clothing it is important to have strong walking footwear. We should tell you that we are on the open moor, continually visited by cattle. ponies, sheep and cows graze just inches away from the house, so get your cameras on stand by. Wonderful stay and lovely cottage with superb hosts Miho & Pete! Miho was fantastic! Her welcoming dessert were delicious, went an extra mile to make sure we was happy and accommodated. Pete's knowledge on the area is spot on - forget about the leaflets! If he tells you it's a 20 minutes walk, trust him! We had am amazing time in berrywood, widecombe. The owners of the cottage couldnt have been more friendly and welcoming . We have 2 small children and they put up a stair gate especially for us, found some toys and spoilt the kids with treats. The cottage was warm and comfortable and I found the kitchen to have everything you needed and it was good quality. Would highly recommend and will go back... Thank you Berrywood!

Staying at Miho and Pete's was absolutly great. The cottage is nice and cosy. The place was clean and warm. Miho and Pete are such a lovely, hospitable and genuine people. The cottage itself is very much as described and advertised. It is clean, well equipped without being extravagant, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 little ones, without being large. The wireless network worked well which was a + The two things that particularly made this a good place to stay for us were: a) The Hosts - Miho and Pete. They are lovely people. We haven't Air B n B'd before (this was our 1st). But we have B n B'd before. I think it is quite a rare quality to combine both kind, generous attentiveness, with a genuinely relaxed hands off approach. Miho and Pete were warm, helpful, very much present when we needed them to be, but also instantly create an atmosphere where you feel at home - no mean feat since they are living next door. Miho had home made cake ready when we arrived, they helped us unpack. She also popped in through the week with little unannounced gifts of smoothies at breakfast, sushi at dinner time - all in a charming and totally unintrusive manner. Pete was helpful with local knowledge, and also lovely playing cricket in the garden with our 6 year old. We were all actually quite sick most of the time we were at Berrywood! Nothing whatsoever to do with the place I must say! Our 6 year old came down with a bug on the way down from Bristol, and we all got it during the week. So the kindness and gentle attentiveness of our hosts was particularly welcome since we spent a great deal more time in the cottage than anticipated. b) The second thing we really liked was the overall location. Berrywood is excellently placed for exploring the moors (we did a bit - not much :-) But we from our drives it is clear that this is an excellent base for exploring the area. The view from the windows and garden is lovely (not bad when you can't move out of bed for a whole day!) And simply walking for 10 minutes out the back of the house takes you right up onto the moor with some great views.

We have felt very comfortable in the house and we liked the location very good. Unfortunately, it has always smelled slightly of oil. This was probably due to the heating in the kitchen. Lovely, Peaceful, rural location. Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. This is a double room with ensuite shower and loo and lovely views over the hills. There's room for a put-up bed, although it's a bit of a squeeze, however there's a single room next door which I'm happy to include in the booking for the price of an additional guest if it's available. Small family groups have found this arrangement works well. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, fruit, home-made bread and a range of cereals. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing! The farmhouse kitchen/dining room is a communal area. Breakfast is provided here. For guests staying more than a couple of nights basic food preparation facilities are available by previous arrangement. I'm here most of the time and happy to chat and advise how to get the best out of the locality if that is what visitors are interested in. If you're interested in a pilates session during your stay it's a good idea to arrange this before your visit. Stunning views over the South Hams Countryside. Ideal to access the coast and Dartmoor. Totnes, just 10 minutes away is a charming little town. We are in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, accessible along deep and narrow Devon lanes, that not everyone may be comfortable driving down. We're also not very close to public transport. It is about 5 minutes drive (30 minutes walk) to the nearest village Harberton, which has a lovely pub and 10-15 minutes drive to the nearest town and public transport links in Totnes - about 4 miles away.lees meer

Sasha was extremely helpful and accommodating because I was very late arriving, had relied on electronic instructions, had no signal and had had to drive to a place that did have signal in order to phone her. Her verbal instructions were very clear and when I finally arrived she was outside to greet me. We had a nice chat before I went to bed in the really lovely bedroom with great ensuite facilities. Because it was dark when I arrived, it was lovely to wake up to the stunning view from the bedroom window. Breakfast was really good, with home made bread.

Our stay with Sasha was great, just what we wanted. We came down the driveway to be greeted by a fabulous view of the rolling Devon countryside and Sasha came out to meet us. After quick introductions (including the two friendly felines, Betty and Dash), we settled in before making a (hilly!) walk to the local pub, The Church House Inn (approx. 1 mile). Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely en suite and a fantastic view. Sasha kindly provided a more than ample and very tasty breakfast, including home baked goodies. A friendly host with an inviting home - we'll hopefully be revisiting and would definitely recommend.

Welcome to my home which is over 100 years old. The area is very residential and you are within walking distance of Plymouth University and the city. 150 meters from a shopping area where there are pubs, restaurants, takeaways and major supermarkets. I have a large double bedroom to rent out, in an old Victorian house 15/20 minutes walk from Plymouth City centre and the Historic Barbican. The house includes a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, four double bedrooms a bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet, and a shower room upstairs with a seperate toilet. The house is spacious but only has parking for 1 guest car, but there is car space available within a 1 minute walk from the house. Public transport is only a 5 minute walk away, and the railway station is about a 10 minute walk away. Plymouth University is only about a 5 minutes from the house, and the Hoe and the waterfront are about 25 minutes walk from the house. The £40 quoted is for a large bedroom with a double bed, TV and your own sink unit. You can also use the living room to watch TV with me, that is if you want to.(see pictures). There is no cooked breakfast, but tea, coffee, toast and cereals are available if required. It is not intended that the guests use the kitchen to cook meals on a nightly basis. There is lots to see in Plymouth, including the famous Hoe, and the old Barbican. The city has approx. 260,000 people and is within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, and the Eden Project in Cornwall. There is also a large choice of good restaurants and bars. If you require more than one room I do have another double bedroom which can be booked. Look for "Plymouth City and Historic Barbican 2", and if you can't find it just email me as I may have removed it for a short period of time. I hope you will like your stay here in Plymouth. Ian. Guests have access to both bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen for breakfast, the toilets and of course their bedroom. They can also use the back yard area, especially if it is a nice day to sit outside. As I live in the house I am available at any time to give any help that you need, especially on information about places to visit in Devon & Cornwall. The neighbourhood is very residential. You are about a 5/10 min walk from the main railway station and it is about (150 meters) to Mutlay Plain where you can catch a bus to the city centre or to some other parts of the city.lees meer

Our stay in Ian's house (4 nights) was very pleasant. The room is big and confortable. The house is very clean, tidy, confortable and we found everything we needed (hairtryer, towels...). It´s only a few minutes walk from the train station (perfect for travelling) and located in a nice area. Ian is very friendly, helpful, funny and the perfect host. If you feel like chatting, he´s very communicative and can give you a lot of good advices. If we´ll visit Plymouth again, we will stay at his house again.

Really cosy room, large and confortable bed. Best sleeping night in our road trip. Ian responded quickly despite our last minute request and had coffee and toasts, which is gold for backpackers.

Ian was very welcoming and the room and facilities were exactly as described. Parking restrictions apply between 8 -10am on the road outside (this is common over much of Plymouth) but other parking was available nearby.

It is a very spacious room (with a great mattress!) in a very clean and beautiful house. It is 10 minutes away from the train station and 20 from the city center. We had everything we needed and Ian even let us park our bikes in the rear patio. A good first airbnb experience!

We stayed at Ians for four nights. Ian picked us up from the bus station, and even gave us a little tour of Plymouth, which was super nice! The house and especially our room was big and clean. Everything was reachable by foot, so the location is perfect to explore Plymouth :) We really enjoyed our stay!

My family and I had a fantastic time staying in Myriam's beautiful house. It was immaculately presented, my young kids loved playing with all the great toys which they'd kindly left out for us to use, Myriam is such an attentive and thoughtful host and answered all of my questions within minutes. It was a great experience and I'd highly recommend staying here.

The house is very nicely updated and comfortable. The back garden was particularly nice since we wee in Plymouth over a mild weekend and were able to leave the doors open while we were home! Our plan was to rent bikes to get around, but the walk into town wasn't bad at all, and the neighbourhood is so cute! There is a large, breathtaking park sitting over the city of Plymouth not too far from the house. It was a great place to watch local dogs run and play with their owners.

Myriam was a great host and we had a fantastic visit to Plymouth. We have 3 young kids and this was an ideal place for us to stay for the night. We walked along the coast, stopped for great seafood, and the kids had a great time exploring all the toys that were available. The communication was prompt and professional. I would highly recommend our night here.

First off, Myriam was wonderfully responsive, giving answers to questions by return which was hugely appreciated. Her home is very comfortable and reassuringly clean! It's well equipped and in a quiet road above town with easy and free parking. The garden looked lovely and I wish it had been sunny and warm, so we could have used it. If you coming to Plymouth and especially if you have a young family, do stay here! Thank you Myriam.

Firstly, Caroline was a great host as I had to contact her on numerous occasions to rearrange our holiday and she was most patient and prompt in all our communications. The Lodge was set in the most beautiful scenery and the upstairs living accommodation allowed us to take advantage of the views, as did the patio/verandah on which we ate all our meals. We had a fabulous time celebrating my father's 70th birthday and would thoroughly recommend the whole experience to anyone. Thank you Caroline, you couldn't get better value for money!

Lovely house consisting of 3 ensuite bedrooms and a first floor consisting of a combined kitchen/dining/living area with TV, sofas, stereo and everything you need for some cozy nights. The small balcony was also perfect to enjoy the sun. Perfect for a big family get-away! It's was very easy to pick up and return the keys - you pick them up at a golf club/hotel, so there's always somebody there to help you. It's only located a 5 minute drive away from the house. Everything was clean and working. Towels, bedding sheets, etc., and even coffee and tea was provided. Furthermore it had a fridge and a freezer and all the utilities you'll need to cook your own food. Will definitely recommend this place to everybody who wishes to stay in Cornwall!

We had a fantastic stay in this amazing 2-story house! It is modern, luxurious, and very comfortable; it has everything you need for a short or long stay. All the bedrooms have their own good sized bathrooms with showers. The beds are comfortable and clean. There is a bbq stand outside and nice deck areas. The upstairs kitchen and living space have tall ceilings, and is well decorated with comfortable sofas and a good sized dining table. The kitchen has everything you need, and modern appliances. There is a flat screen TV, fast wifi, and a stereo system with audio and iPod hookup. Highly recommended!

This is a cosy bed with a memory foam mattress, with a private shower room. Also the living space can contain a spare bed and a sofa bed. There is a partition door, which allows for partial privacy. It is possible to accommodate 4 in the space (this is a compact layout but great for value family stays). A travel cot can also be added. Hot and cold drinks included. You are welcome to join us in the communal space. Cooking facilities can be arranged on request. This is a great space for couples or families. The double bed is tucked around the corner and has a sort of door from the main area. The shower room is also private and then the living space can be a single bed and a sofa or two singles or another double bed (its a comfy sofa bed!) You can also access the lounge area and help yourself to hot/cold drinks as well as use our downstairs loo! We live in the main property and you can interact as much or as little as you like. Royal William Yard is a fabulous place to visit with lots of great bars and restaurants. We recommend taking the water taxi around to the Barbican and finishing up at the Fisherman's Arms. We are close to buses 32 (Millbrook - Plymouth) and 34 (Derriford- Royal William Yard - Plymouth). We are 25mins walk from the railway station or 5mins on the 32 bus. We walk to a lot of places and it is easy to walk into the centre. We have lots of people to stay and it is unlikely that you will be the only guests. Our guests often socialise together. If you stay for a longer time, the beds are changed weekly. This is not a hotel but we do our best to make our home accommodating. We are a busy family but we still get the house cleaned twice a week! We have some great trips to share with you and even discounts with a local pub!lees meer

Nikki and her husband greeted us with smiles and were very relaxed which made us feel relaxed. They very kindly let us arrive quite late and then made us a cuppa! The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped. We all slept very well in lovely comfy beds and all had showers in the morning with plenty of hot water. I asked to use their iron and Nikki immediately got it for me. She showed us where the tea, coffee etc was and left a help sheet in the room explaining the breakfast, how to use the shower etc and also local eatery info. We would love to stay again in future!!

We travelled to Plymouth with two of our film crew and my tween daughter for the American Thanksgiving events down at the Barbican. These two days were my daughter's favorite of our week in the UK. Nikki's family could not have been more helpful or friendly. The rooms felt like home, breakfasts were just right, and we were able to make an impromptu feast for Thanksgiving Dinner from what we bought at the local supermarket. Just a great time all around. Thank you!

What a lively experience. Nikki and her family were great fun and so welcoming. The two little boys are engaging - but perhaps not ideal if you want a quiet getaway. As it was, we enjoyed their company - and that of all the people in the house, including Storm the Labrador who is a real gent. The ensuite room is very ingeniously built into a small space above the garage. It's very cosy and my hubby felt like he was in a bunk at sea. If I'm honest I found it a tad hot - but then in the morning realised there was a roller blind which would have given us more light and air if I'd spotted it. But that's a minor negative in what was a jolly household to visit, in a beautiful part of Plymouth. And breakfast too - much appreciated! We hope to return.

Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium. A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room The entire place is yours to enjoy I live in the same building so am normally around to lend you a cup of sugar, or provide you with any extra information required about the area. Failing that, my phone is never off! Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth Right on several bus routes into pretty much everywhere. Opposite the torpoint ferry to Cornwall. Free parking adjacent to the building. Latitude 52 is a residential building, so please can we request that you don't make too much noise to keep the neighbours happy :-)lees meer

A very good start of my holidays. Dot and Dave are very nice and welcoming, I felt immediately at home. In fact, the room is cosy, not only due to the slanted ceiling (tall people should take care of their heads), but also to the warm colours, the furniture, ... and I haven't stayed anywhere so far, where a bath robe is made available to the guests. The last house in the hamlet with only fields beyond and very quiet. Tastefully furnished with private outdoor seating area, BBQ & access to newly renovated outdoor swimming pool (photo coming soon) We are also walking distance from the Steiner School, Shumacher College, Dartington Hall, village shop & The Cott Inn. Totnes is less than 2 miles away along a river path. Fantastic walks (or runs) from the door. This apartment is part of the last house in the village with only fields beyond and is very quiet. The loudest sound is usually the whistle from the local steam railway over a mile away. However BT Infinity fast broadband has just arrived & there's pretty good mobile reception (for Devon) so you won't be completely cut off! The apartment is completely self-contained with its own entrance and has a good-sized bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs, a small kitchen area (with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee making and a gas cooker with hob and oven), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and an entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. There is also a large 30in LCD TV with DVD player (photo not updated yet) and a Sony clock/radio/ipod player. During the winter firewood is supplied for the open fire. There is also a very sunny, private outside seating area with a table, two chairs and a small BBQ overlooking the front garden. There's plenty of wild life! We regularly see deer and rare Green Woodpeckers as well as all the more common birds. You can park your car right outside the apartment. The 5ft ziplink double bed splits into two singles if required ( photo not yet updated) We can provide a camp-bed for a 3rd person (or child) for a small additional cost. However due to the limited space we don't recommend this for stays of longer than 3 nights maximum. The kitchen is small so if you want to cook 3 course dinners every night it's probably not for you. Full access to the whole apartment. I'm available on phone and email prior to your arrival. And as I live next door I'm there to help if you have any questions or need anything. Where else can you reach the sea in around half an hour or be up on the wilds of Dartmoor in even less time. But there are also fantastic walks from the door. One of the best wild swimming spots in the UK (in the Guardian's top 10) is less than a mile from the house. The medieval market town of Totnes is also less than 10 minutes drive with its many wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes Station on the main line to London is less than 10 minutes drive and there are regular buses from the end of our road to the station or in the other direction towards Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. The apartment is also less than 10 minutes drive from the A38, the dual carriageway that links to the M5. The house was built in 1962 and was designed by modernist Arthur Grayson for the novelist and composer Bruce Montgomery. Montgomery was quite well known at the time and wrote the music for the first 6 Carry on movies. He was also a friend of Agatha Christie who apparently came to dinner at the house.lees meer

Our stay at Ben's apartment was really pleasant. It is well eqipped and very cosy and the surroundings are quiet and beautiful. The arrival was uncomplicated and thanks to Ben's detailed description we found the house (which is a little remote) even without a SatNav. Totnes is a really good place to stay if you want to explore the southern part of Devon. A beautiful guest house on the edge of Dartmoor offering full board accommodation and guided walks into Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK. The accommodation is a series of converted barns, restored to ensure your stay is both beautiful and tranquil. The site and the buildings were part of a working farm over 300 years ago. Based in heartland rural West Devon there is a strong farming community here, that gives it a unique character. The lush green valleys look out on to the dramatic Dartmoor National Park; a walker's paradise! Benefits of our remote location include our own source of fresh spring water, filtered by the woodland behind us and pumped straight up through the farm yard. We also burn sustainable fuel in the form of wood pellets for our heating. The rooms are a collection of old stables and a milking parlour that have been transformed into ensuite double and twin bedrooms. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, each room is also equipped with Freeview television and DVD player, as well as WiFi (beware that the WiFi has adopted the region's pace of life!). As well as a spacious private bedroom, guests will enjoy access to all the outdoor space, which includes a big field and garden to relax in, a sun terrace and the old stone courtyard. Having grown up in West Devon and knowing the area well, there is a treasure trove of adventures to be had! I can help you with ideas as much as you would like. I also offer guided walks into the wild Dartmoor National Park where I can introduce you to the history and the culture of this unique landscape. Our neighbourhood is very quiet! We live down a private lane, tucked in front of a wood. It's beautiful! And at night the skies are dark and the stars are bright. The perfect antidote to your city neighbourhood! A car is the best way to get around. However we do offer a transfer service from the Exeter St Davids and Exeter Airport. See the website for more details. We are a family and whilst you stay with us we will do our best to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a very relaxing and calm base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall and we look forward to meeting you!lees meer

Vakantiewoning · Plymouth
The best located cottage in Kingsand (probably) for sea views and beaches, Storm Cottage is right on the sea wall with three private balconies with stunning sea views. Newly refurbished, the house is simply styled with a New England feel and touches of Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns. The living room is bathed in light and there are three pubs within 200 yds and two sandy/pebble safe beaches with clear rockpools. Kingsand is situated in Cornwall's forgotten corner - a ferry hop away from Plymouth. The house is an upside down house with the living space upstairs affording beautiful views of the historic Cawsand bay. The main bedroom has stunning sea views with an en-suite basement bathroom with rolltop bath and portholes out to the sea! The decor is calm and creamy Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, with small luxuries like Smeg and Dualit kitchen equipment and home furnishings from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, as well as Cornish brands like Seakisses and artist Helen Round. Our cabin style small bedroom with two singles works well for (good) kids too. They'll love being right next to two beaches, with a football sized yard outside. We have a sunny courtyard balcony to dine out on with sea views. For tech junkies we are fully broadbanded up with superfast wifi and a smart TV with DVD. All of the house, if required - with parking for three cars. We can help provide an arrival box of food (please discuss in advance) and help with where to eat etc. Or we can leave you totally alone! Kingsand is a very special place. Located in Cornwall's forgotten corner, it's a twin village is Cawsand. Its three beaches are safe and perfect for kids - and the bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sounds, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are three great pubs, serving good food, a post office and 4 village shops. The village is full of higgledy-piggedly lanes with sea-salt washed pastel coloured Georgian cottages. Foot and car ferries travel regularly to Plymouth, and the majestic Royal William Yard. Dartmoor, Devon and the Eden Project are all with easy reach. By train, disembark at Plymouth or St Germans - and get a taxi to Kingsand. By car, take the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth, or follow the A38 and turn off at the Trerulefoot roundabout just beyond Saltash. There are up to three parking spaces outside the cottage - and a public carpark 100 meters away. Please note 2 trips cancelled previously on AirBnB due to refurb work taking longer than anticipated. That work is now complete. No dogs due to owners allergies. Sorry! Access to the cottage parking is narrow. Nervous drivers or owners of lovely new cars may want to initially park in the public carpark - and size up the space first.lees meer
