“Pat's and Geno's are the two most recognizable spots to grab a cheesesteak for people outside of the city. People who live in the city, however, think of them as a bit of a tourist trap. If you must make the trip over and see for yourself, it's about a 10-minute walk. We'd recommend Pat's, as it's less of a spectacle than the neon monstrosity of Geno's”

“Local Fave. So it’s a friendly competition between Pat’s steaks. Their stores literally face each other. So you have to buy a steak from each place and weigh in on this debate. Whose is the best ”

Brewery

“Dock Street Brewery is Philadelphia's First microbrewery, Est. 1985. We are known for their award-winning beers like our Man Full of Trouble Porter. They add a couple of new beers a week to the tap and can lineup each week, so there's always something new, delicious, and timely - cue some solid, award-winning dark beers for winter, refreshing weisse beers for summer, and everything in between.”

“We're pretty fond of this Point Breeze neighborhood gem, American Sardine Bar. They offer a nice variety of food (gluten free and vegan, too), their own brews (hibiscus sour is sooo good!) in addition to a super solid can list and fun vibes! You can't miss the place with their colorful strands of lights overlooking their courtyard. There's also views of the skyline which are nice.”

“This place is a Philly staple! The food is amazing (particularly the Eggs Benedict and the Potato Latke), but you will wait for a while for a table. The wait is worth it! If you are headed here for brunch, pick up a bottle of champagne (or sparkling wine) on your way and order the fresh squeezed orange juice for some BOYB mimosas. Cash only, atm on site. ”
