Very quaint cottage. Nice and peaceful. Great for couples looking to escape.

A lovely little cottage, newly renovated, in a quiet village. Huge back garden, play park and train station a short walk through the back gate. Arrived to a fire burning, a welcome note and some useful pantry items. The new bathroom is huge. Everything was clean. Plenty of fresh towels. A nice selection of DVDs. I had fun getting the fire going and once lit it is easy to manage. My 2 year old loved the play park and going out to watch the trains. I would certainly recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway in this beautiful part of the country.

We loved our stay here, the home was beautiful and clean and oh so snug. Our favourite parts were probably the fireplace, reading in hammocks and the gorgeous bath tub. A perfect country retreat :)

Simple, uncluttered, tidy cottage which made for a comfortable getaway and relax time in front of the fire. We were thrilled at the dog friendliness, which really sold it to us with our two whippets coming along. Good sized, secure back yard for zoomies, and pups allowed on furniture (with appropriate coverings - throw rugs etc - and foot wiping at the door). Close to the state forest, where we took the dogs for a long, relaxed walk (and some kangaroo and fox spotting). Felt right at home, the decor was perfect for us (nice and simple), bathroom impressive, everything clean, and the fire burning away to welcome us. Thanks for a quick and cozy two nights - an extra night next time, I think!

The cottage was exactly as described. The fire was lit and a bottle of red on the table when we arrived, which was lovely. The kids and dog loved the secure garden. Basic food was provided which was really helpful and some added extras for the dog. Over all a chilled out weekend in a very comfortable spot.

Stayed only for one night. It was raining and cold on the day but the house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and very spacious. loved the big clean bathroom. Good value stay in southern highlands.

From start to finish, it has been a fantastic experience. Directions were simple. The property is very spacious, with lots of amenities. Space is really plentiful with lots of rooms. The only thing to note is poor mobile reception but you will not notice it at all. Highly recommended for a quiet get away.

We had a great mini break staying at Cathy's Roseville country cottage. We had 4 adults and 4 kids - the kids loved exploring the large well kept grounds and the provided kids games. The adults enjoyed the stunning views, and dinners on the veranda. Cathy thoughtfully provided all towels, linen, washing up stuff and even some food essentials - made the holiday much easier. The property is in the bush, so not much around - which is what we wanted - but we did take a few side trips for excellent walks / rides in Bundanoon and Bowral. All in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back.

Fantastic stay in Brayton! The house was perfect for our group of friends with loads of space and communal areas. The house was fully stocked with games and things in the pantry, wonderful weekend!

Perfect and memorable Airbnb experience. Caroline and Nigel's farmhouse and their hospitality represents everything we have come to love about Airbnb. Arrived strangers. Left as friends. The farmhouse is private, well equipped, charming and comfortable. Even better than the photos. Caroline and Nigel are great hosts. Very welcoming and friendly. We stopped on our way from Melbourne to Sydney for a night with our young children and it was the perfect spot to enjoy the southern highlands. We will definitely be back. Hopefully for longer.

This gorgeous French country house in the Southern highlands is so beautiful and relaxing. There were so many small little detailed attention given to make our stay amazing, small bottles of home made marmalade, some fruit, fire burning in the fire place. Caroline remembered I was keen to go for a bike ride or a hike with my friends and offered me a bike and more info. We actually never left the house with the food we bought at the markets and the beautiful surroundings we didn't feel like we needed to. The house was clean, warm and every little detail made it a genuine French country house.

We attended a wedding at nearby sylvan glen and were pleasantly surprised to find Caroline's place . Caroline made us feel welcomed and a part of her beautiful home. The local area in wingello and bundanoon deserved more from us and will get it next time. The french rustic charm had us thinking twice about even going to the wedding! Thank you Caroline. Great place, really quaint, well curated and styled French feeling annex. Set within amazing landscaped gardens looking out to picturesque country and bush views. Host has gone to a huge effort to provide a private and tranquil space, even though the owner lives in the attached main house.

We were given a very welcome to this beautiful farmhouse with modern bathrooms, which is annexed to the host's main house. Garden was gorgeous as was the surrounding countryside. Highly recommend!

The house was clean and newly renovated with a comfy king size bed in the master bedroom. We loved how many board games there were and loved playing them sitting in front of the fire. The wine, Tim tams and coffee was a nice touch, as were the marshmallows for roasting and the cereal in the jars. Would happily recommend this to our friends, perfect escape in a quiet town near all the wineries and glow worm ravine!

Loved everything about our stay at Wilmotte cottage! Such a cosy well styled home with a lovely garden. Every detail was thought out from the well equipped kitchen, lots of board games, outdoor and indoor fire, art equipment, marshmallows, lovely bottle of wine and yummy local coffee ... we felt totally spoilt and blessed to call the cottage our home over the long weekend - thanks so much for having us! What a truly gorgeous place. We spent the loveliest weekend in Wilmotte Cottage, plenty of cooking, eating, sitting cozy by the fire playing cards and competitive puzzling. The cottage is so tastefully renovated, the garden is lovely and we had a great time with the fire pit outside. Great little village and so well positions to explore this area of the Southern Highlands. We saw an echidna in the national park! Perfect place for a weekend away, the little touches make it perfect.

We had the loveliest stay. Everything was thought of from the fully functional kitchen to the fire out the back. This place is perfect for a small group and unbeatable for a quiet weekend away in front of the fire playing cards against humanity .

Octavia was a wonderful host who provided me with all the information necessary for our stay. The house was beautifully kept and was very clean. Small touches such as hand made soap and a bottle of wine made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Everything about the house was perfect. It was so well set up and beautifully styled. I stayed for 2 nights with a group of girlfriends and it was the perfect place to relax by the fire and chat over a few wines. Octavia was excellent to communicate with and even had the fire set up ready to go for us. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing holiday in a clean and tidy home.

We Had a truly wonderful time in CanyonLeigh in the hut perched on the cliff tops looking over the river. It is a such a magical and peaceful little slice of tranquility. It rained a lot during our stay, but it didn't stop us from seeing kangaroos, an echidna (which actually came up to our glass sliding door and was scratching to get in), a wombat and we hand fed one of the horse. Our kids will remember these experiences for many years to come. The whole stay was very relaxing, and Beth (the care taker) was warm, friendly and only to happy to help in any way. This was our second stay at Canyonleigh. A magical spot and a very easy place to chill out for a few days. Many thanks, Roger.

The Cliff House is set in an outstanding location with amazing wildlife. However, it is very much off the beaten track and I didn't feel that we received adequate warning/information about the extent of this - in retrospect we would have chosen a 4wD vehicle which would have been much safer and more appropriate. The directions were good but it would have useful for there to have been more signage on the route into the property. Check in did not go smoothly. After a difficult journey, myself and my family were sadly met with a very hostile/aggressive welcome by the caretaker. This was due to badly communicated check-in procedures resulting in our simple misunderstanding. There were some electrical sockets that were not working as well as one of the bedroom fans - the fans were definitely required because there was no air conditioning! There were also several large holes in the insect screens which wasn't ideal! The scenery, setting and wildlife were beautiful - we enjoyed the serenity and the amazing starry sky was superb. We love the southern highlands and it was lovely to stay in a different spot to usual.

Cleo was better at communicating with us than we were at receiving but despite no phone signal at her house we contacted her by driving up to a ridge and found where a key had been left. Cleo and Danny were both very welcoming and shared their kitchen for us to prepare the evening meal. We spent a pleasant evening together around a log fire chatting about our travel experiences. We also shared our interest about music and Cleo played some pieces on her Guzheng (a chinese stringed instrument). Cleo also shared produce from her garden and chooks with us for breakfast. We enjoyed the somewhat rustic hobby farm experience particularly because of the friendliness and country hospitality of the hosts. The nearby National Park was also well worth spending half a day at or longer if you are a bush walker or caver.

Danny was very friendly and cooked us a simple and yummy dinner on the first day as we were too tired to drive back out in the cold for dinner and had planned to skip it. The boys liked seeing the ducks and chickens and collecting the eggs one morning! Fresh eggs for breakfast was wonderful!

Cleo made us feel extremely welcome and willingly shared her home and family life with us. The natural surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. A place to rest and contemplate nature. De-stress by staying with Cleo for a while and enjoy exploring Bungonia national park nearby.

Maria en Gregorio waren fantastisch gastheren, echt mooi en vriendelijk. Was bijzonder mooi om mee te praten Gregorio over zijn vaderland. De kamer is comfortabel, en de badkamer schoon en goed ingericht. De boerderij zelf is een mooie plek om te ontspannen. Zou hier weer verblijven.

We hadden een zeer warm welkom aan Maria en Gregs thuis, onze hond Bella vond haar zielsverwant in de hond Cleo en ze hadden zo veel plezier spelen, het huis ligt dicht bij de Hume dus ideaal voor een passerende verblijf waren we onderweg van Lakes Entrance Vic naar Brisbane. We hadden mooie gesprekken met Maria en Greg met veel gemeenschappelijkheid met organische leven en we kregen een dozijn biologische eieren en een aantal biologische komkommer en courgette naar huis te nemen. De kamers zijn comfortabel en rustig, met een schitterend uitzicht op een aantal prachtige paarden x raden

Het huis ligt in een prachtige landelijke omgeving. Maria en Greg waren zeer gastvrij. De slaapkamer en badkamer waren erg schoon en netjes. We zouden aanbevelen aan andere gasten.

Mijn partner en ik hadden een geweldige tijd hier. De sfeer was geweldig en we werden verwelkomd in het huis dat we thuis waren oude vrienden. Het was precies zoals beschreven op de website.

Dit is een geweldige locatie voor het verkennen van de hooglanden dicht bij alles.

Maria en Greg zijn prachtig folk met een prachtig landhuis te delen. Zij verwelkomden mijn twee peuters en ik na een late namiddag boeking. Maria was reageerden op onze vragen en gaf ons direct een bevestiging. Ik voelde alsof we oude vrienden waren op bezoek. Ik heb vooral genoten van dat de kinderen werden omarmd en konden uitchecken de boerderijdieren. Greg was vriendelijk genoeg om de kinderen te nemen om de haan en kippen te ontmoeten terwijl ik verpakt. Zo behulpzaam en begrip van een moeder op de weg met twee munchkins. Ik zal de volgende keer hun weg terug te keren.

Maria's plek was perfect voor een overnachting en had alles wat we nodig hadden. Maria was heerlijk en we hadden een warme kamer en een comfortabel bed.

Maria was de hostess met de beste gastheren! Prachtige accommodatie en zeer centraal in de zuidelijke hooglanden. Onze vier legged kinderen hielden gewoon Cleo en ik hield van het voeden van het lam. Zeer memorabel en zeer warme vuur om terug naar elke avond te komen.

We had a wonderful time at Paddys River. Holly was an excellent host and gave us loads of great information about all the things to see and do in the area. She graciously shared some goodies from the farm with us, and even followed up with me after my stay about an item of lost property. The house was incredible with so many things to do. An impressive collection of classic cinema and family movies meant we were covered in case of rainy days. Meals were also a pleasure - with the house having an ultra-modern kitchen and great selection of dining areas to choose from.

A magnificent property with wonderful views, the property made our trip down the to Southern Highlands extra special. Holly was a more than accommodating host andwould definitely stay again given the opportunity!

We had a great weekend in the Southern Highlands. Holly was very helpful beforehand recommending a butchers and places to go. The house is great....much bigger than it looks in the photos and very well kitted out. There was a power cut for a couple of hours while we were there....unfortunately half way through us cooking 'Christmas' dinner. No big deal though as there was a decent gas BBQ and a log fire to keep warm.

Beth, the caretaker, greeted us and showed us around. She was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was basic and rustic, but it had everything we needed for our stay (microwave, fridge, heater, towels and linen etc.). The location was lovely and peaceful, down by the river. A good place to get away from it all. Being some distance from shops and restaurants you have to make sure you bring all your food. An enjoyable stay.

Such a wonderful stay! It was a real getaway from the city. Nothing but the sounds of the river and wildlife to wake you in the morning. We spent the days walking freely around the property and river. Beth the caretaker was such a delight and she was more than helpful with providing instructions, history and attending to any need. Roger, the owner, was away but checked in regularly to make sure everything was smooth sailing. There was plenty of wildlife to see; kangaroos, platypus, birds, foxes, horses, sheep. And it was truly paradise to spend the nights by the fire under so many starts, listening to the surrounds and in complete serenity. We will most definitely be going back!

Really nice spot next to the river. Canoe was a nice addition as was the mexican fire. Would recommend this place for camping as well.

Platypus, Wombats, Fire, Stars, Canoeing and Serenity. Right from the get go this was a great experience. Roger organised for Beth to meet us and she was so hospitable even though we arrived late. If nature and the great outdoors are your thing this place is great. On our first early morning walk we spotted a couple of wombats. The early morning canoe the next day was well worth it as I saw my first platypus in the wild!! The fire and the stars were a wonderful way to wind down and oh the serenity...... The cabin was great for two of us and next time I'll bring the kids and pitch the tents as well as they would love the flying fox, wombats, walking by the river, canoeing etc. I would recommend it for a couple or a family (if you bring your tents). The beauty of this spot is you don't need to share it and because it is remote you get more chance of seeing wildlife. The hut is reasonably basic, as the price reflects, but Roger has added little touches to make it feel very welcoming. If you want to get away from it all, enjoy nature and the serenity this is definitely the place. The outdoor bathroom has plenty of hot water and fresh air. You need to drive a little way for food supplies so make sure you bring what you need. Roger called me to check how things went and has already gone ahead and made improvements based on our chat. I will definitely be returning soon. Thanks for sharing this great little place.

We had fantastic one night stay at Maria's place! Maria was a great host, made us very welcomed & comfortable. Lovely selection of breakkie items was such a nice touch:) Communication was superb, we were given all info needed prior our stay. Definitely recommend!

Maria got in touch promptly and emailed me through directions which included an excellent aerial view photo that made it really clear how to get there whichever direction I was coming from. Maria was really welcoming and explained everything really clearly for me, and left a generous breakfast out. Felt at home and the space was great - I needed to do some work and there was also a (not pictured) large table in the room, and a heater which made it cosy despite the weather.

Whispering Pines is beautiful, peaceful and a home from home. Perfect for families only 10-15 min from Goulburn where there are all the shops you could need. James is a friendly and welcoming host. He had even made sure the accommodation was warm for us by getting the log fire on the go. The accommodation is roomy, warm and has all the essentials provided. Even tea, coffee, coffee machine and fresh milk in the fridge There were games to play, books to read, a pool table, a TV, stereo and selection of dvds. The beds were as all very clean comfortable and warm with lovely linen. Even heated blanket if required. Towels also provided. There was nothing that hadn't been thought of. This was a wonderful break and highly recommended stayin at the very lovely Whispering Pines.
