“Who doesn't love a good pier, walk the deck - full of controversy after the golden sheik took over - it's still good for a stroll though”

“Very popular American restaurant which is all about juicy meat in a bun. Weekends you will need to book as the place is a cosy den underneath the Marina which is like a huge cruise ship architecture's folly .”

Bar
“St. Leonards Pub is a local pub, with a modern feel. Displayed art work and exhibitions changed regularly. I particularly love Curious Brew which they serve, which has been made with Champagne Yeast.”

Art Gallery
“A place which unlocks the flamboyant history of Hastings and St. Leonards and actually reads like a tabloid with all the eccentricity, which makes this corner of England unique in many ways.”

Visrestaurant

“A modern restaurant making full use of the abundance of local produce. St Clement's seasonal menus include fish from Hastings’ beach launched fleet and produce is sourced from traditional butchers, rare-breed farms and non-intensive dairies, local farms, fishermen & grocers. It has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and is perfect for an intimate dinner. Accurately described in a July 2014 Telegraph review as "Michelin-level accomplishment with an easy-going charm". Perfect service and a real gem in the neighbourhood. I took my partner here for a birthday dinner and he loved it!”

“If you are in Hastings it is a must see. Castle ruins on top of the West Hill - the view across the channel and towards Beachy Head is amazing and inspiring. Don't go in as there is not much to see, but wander around green space. ”

Gastropub

“It's got lots of draught beers, and has a really good music scene there: Thursday nights has The Sea Shanty Crowd singing old fishing and Navy 'call and response songs'. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (starts early on Sundays at 4pm) they have a really high standard of bands from Rock to Folk.”
