“The area now consists of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, art galleries and antique stores of Staunton Street and Elgin Street. SoHo also is home to the first full-time comedy club in Asia, The TakeOut Comedy Club Hong Kong.[1] Hong Kong taxi drivers usually regard "SoHo" to mean either Staunton Street or Elgin Street.”

“The legendary Taiwanese dim sum restaurant opened their first Hong Kong branch in Causeway Bay before moving onto an additional three other locations dotted around town, although this is still our favourite. The expertly crafted xialongbao (a sort of twisted dim sum with a range of fillings) are by-now legendary and an absolute must try, especially the fancy black truffle and pork. Other highlights include tofu with crab roe and the classic salabao steamed buns with a range of fillings. One of the best things about Din Tai Fung is the food is typically less oily than other dim sum joints around town. Opening Hours: 11:30 - 22:00 Address: G/F, Delay No Mall, 68 Yee Wo St, Causeway Bay Tel: +852 3160 8998 ”

“A Vietnamese street food experience, (Bia Hoi) fresh Vietnamese draft beer style bar and eatery. The casual 45-seat space is a comfortable but lively (i.e. noisy) hangout, with a minimalist modern design that still feels laidback and completely unpretentious. Highlights: VFC (Vietnamese Fried Chicken Wings), Short rib lettuce wrap, Morning Glory, Pho Roll. Cocktails: Pho-jito, Far East Smash, Saigon Sour. P.S. Walk-in only. If you want to eat inside without a wait, pop in early before the crowds settle in. ”

“Ho Lee Fook is best when you’re craving the addictive qualities
of Asian takeaway and a loud Chinatown-basement vibe—except here dishes are creatively executed, ingredients are carefully sourced and a touch of restraint allows for appreciation of an unconventional approach. The concept is intentionally ironic in Hong Kong a city where diners demand authenticity in their Chinese cuisine. Homey dishes are served family-style, mostly plated in a nonchalant mound and heavily seasoned with spices, coriander and fried shallots capturing the essence of the chef’s Taiwanese background. Highlights: Mom’s dumplings, Kurobuta pork char siu, Fried Brussels sprouts with cauliflower and bacon chilli jam, Hamachi P.S. Walk-in only. If you want to eat inside without a wait, pop in early before the crowds settle in. ”

“Tim Ho Wan is one of the world’s most famous Hong Kong Dim Sum restaurants. Founder Chef Mak Gui Pui and Chef Leung Fai Keung started the first restaurant in Mong Kok March 2009 carrying the concept of “Freshly made to order”. Promise to serve the food at its best taste but the most affordable price. It allows every ordinary people to enjoy the 5-star culinary art. The restaurant found its international renown when the original Mong Kok branch dèbuted in the 2010 edition of the Michelin Guide.
