“The Georgetown Waterfront Park is a national park completed in Washington, DC in the fall of 2011. It offers visitors a place to enjoy river views in a lush green setting at the edge of a bustling historic urban neighborhood. The 10-acre park curves along the Potomac River shoreline extending from 30th Street to 34th Street, N.W. The park is located directly across the river from Roosevelt Island, with views west towards Key Bridge and east towards the Kennedy Center and Memorial Bridge.”

“Georgetown Cupcake may have the diehard reality TV fans, but Baked & Wired serves some of the best and biggest cupcakes around. There’s also a counter full of other baked goods as well as espresso, tea, and coffee. Don’t miss the cookie ice cream sandwiches during the summer months. Go there for: Pastries without a line.”

“Kafe Leopold (+ Konditorei) is the exact antidote to those too-cute-for-words pastry shops. Sure, there may be 26 different desserts to tempt your sweet tooth here, but there’s nothing twee about this sleek space tucked in an alley behind posh M Street. Descend the stairs and discover a lovely courtyard garden—complete with a trickling fountain—before stepping into a relaxed arena with eye-catching photos and a decidedly modern ambience. Savory choices include rostbraten vom Angusrind and bratwurst, but even with their delicious homemade taste, it's the final course that is first priority. Peruse the long list of Kaffeespezialitäten, and then nibble on a slice of esterhazy (five-layer hazelnut cake), a delicious éclair or any other can't-go-wrong treat. This hidden away restaurant serves European-style salads, savory tarts, and entrees like schnitzel and grilled salmon. The patio just off M Street is also a draw during nice weather. Go there for: A casual brunch or coffee meeting.”

“Waterfront Dining This tourist magnet from the Founding Farmers restaurant group is a fixture of the Georgetown waterfront. The dizzying menu features everything from sushi to tacos to burgers to pizza and seafood. There’s even a “First Bake” breakfast menu — available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday through Friday — stocked with steel-cut oatmeal, fresh doughnuts, and more. Go there for: A spacious patio, and a menu that caters to nearly every taste.”

“Pizza is always a crowd-pleaser, and Pizzeria Paradiso’s brick-oven pies are no exception. The bar also carries an impressive selection of bottled and draft beers. The downstairs bar was recently transformed into a game room, complete with canned beers, Skee-Ball and arcade game favorites. Go there for: Pizza and Belgian beer.”

“Georgetown is the oldest Jesuit institution in the United States. Per Wikipedia, Georgetown's notable alumni include U.S. President Bill Clinton, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, CIA Director George Tenet, and King Felipe of Spain, as well as the royalty and heads of state of more than a dozen countries. In 2015, Georgetown had 1190 alumni working as diplomats for the U.S. Foreign Service, more than any other university. Your host actually goes here, and attends the School of Foreign Service in the evenings.”

“Georgetown is a charming area with Federal-style architecture, cobblestone streets and fashion and design shops. The dining scene is defined by upmarket restaurants and waterfront seafood spots, while nightlife spans boisterous college bars, traditional taverns and intimate live music lounges. Georgetown Waterfront Park has a riverside promenade and gardens, and there's a bike path along the C&O Canal.”

Music Venue
“Feels a little bit divey, this place has live music, okay drink prices, and is located in Georgetown's Waterfront development. I'm a huge fan of this place for the live music - mostly rock or blues. There are two areas of the venue - one is the bar with free music and then there is an area where you pay to see a show with food, drinks, and music. ”

“Martin's Tavern is the oldest family-owned restaurant in Washington, D.C., founded in 1933 in Georgetown. Martin's Tavern was founded by former Major League Baseball player William Gloyd "Billy" Martin. The tavern has hosted each U.S. President from Harry S. Truman to George W. Bush.[1] Martin's is located at 1264 Wisconsin Avenue, NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington D.C. It was at Martin's Tavern on June 24, 1953 that Senator John F. “Last summer, chef Adam Howard left his perch at Mike Isabella Concepts and landed at this Shaker-chic dining room at the Park Hyatt. Consider the kitchen—which at our previous check-in felt tired—reinvigorated. At lunch, Howard slings lobster rolls and the city’s best Reuben. Later on, look for smart riffs on Southern classics. Braised greens go unexpectedly well with white soy, while a sorghum-brined pork chop is as tender as you’d hope for. On the seafood front, we haven’t found sweeter scallops this year than the ones Howard herb-roasts and serves with burnt-eggplant purée. Very expensive. We like it for breakfast!”
