“One of the only true authentic Neapolitan style pizza joints in the city. Personally my favorite restaurant in the city. If you go you can not pass up the gnocchi with blue crab. Better than any gnocchi you'll find in Italy and I will stand behind that comment. ”

Vietnamese Restaurant

“I bet you didn't know that New Orleans has AMAZING Vietnamese food, did you?! And ones with vegan options!! Mint Modern has the best vegan Pho on the east bank (if you want to make your way to the westbank, I'll give you recommendations). The broth is perfectly seasoned and you can get it with tofu or extra veggies. They also make a vegan tofu Bahn Mi, but make sure to tell them you need it vegan. Otherwise, it's vegetarian. ”

Bagel Shop
$
“ THE HUMBLE BAGEL STORY Humble Bagel was founded by Casey Mackintosh, from just outside of Washington D.C., and Tara Mikhail, a native of Long Island. Together, they envisioned an authentic, New York style bagel shop in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. Humble Bagel bakes authentic, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels fresh daily. We designed the kitchen to be open so that everybody can see the process of boiling and baking fresh bagels. Our bagels are made of five ingredients: Flour, Water, Steen’s Cane Syrup, Salt, and Yeast. Be sure to ask about our daily special! Please check out our mason jar recycling program! We fresh squeeze our orange juice daily, you can keep the mason jar or receive $1 off your next juice purchase if you return it. Whenever possible, local ingredients are used. We believe in New Orleans and we want to support it, including the use of Steen’s Cane Syrup and New Orleans Roast coffee. We love dogs! We have outdoor seating so be sure to bring your furry friends to have bagels with you! Our darlings: Buffy the pug and Knuckles the pit mix. Knuckles was rescued from Canine Connection on Tchoupitoulas. Buffy is the boss, of course.”
