“If you enjoy exploring old buildings and learning about times in the past you will love St Fagans. Entry is free. I like to buy some home made bread from the bakery ( buy on the way in collect later)”
“Techniquest science museum is a great place to take the kids on a wet day. Hours of fun for all the family, including wet play, so take a change of clothes for the kids. Probably best for primary school age. It's not cheap, so plan to spend a full day there, or get a reduced price ticket after 3pm.”
“Castell Coch is a 19th-century Gothic Revival castle built above the village of Tongwynlais which is approx. 2 miles from The Old Byre. The first castle on the site was built by the Normans after 1081, to protect the newly conquered town of Cardiff and control the route along the Taff Gorge. ”
“Folly rebuilt on old remains by the Marquess of Bute (also house in grounds of Cardiff Castle). It looks like a fairy princess castle. Interesting tour. ”
