“ The lighthouse is located on the shore just east of Woods Hole Village in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. Standing on a bluff, the lighthouse overlooks Falmouth, Martha's Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds, and Woods Hole Passage. Until 2012 the light keeper's house served as the residence for the Commanding Officer of United States Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England. When visiting, please be respectful of the grounds and neighbors. The grounds are open to visit, photograph, and enjoy from dawn to dusk. The buildings and lighthouse tower are not currently open to the public. They will be in the future.”
