“This is probably the hands down favorite in the city with a ridiculously opulent build-out with grandiose booth seating, great music and a lively atmosphere that will make you feel like you just stepped into the Great Gatsby. Reservations are wise but I personally like dining at the downstairs bar making it also a great spot to dine alone. The menu and wine list are superb and they always have both black and white truffles when in season. After dinner, make your way upstairs to the very posh rooftop bar. Little Italy closes down early, but you can finish your night at nearby False Idol, a tiki speakeasy hidden inside Craft & Commerce. Ask someone inside to show you the entrance concealed just to the left of the bar when you enter. It's one of the rare places in the area open until closing time.”

“This is a vegan fast food spot, we are not vegan but I have had several items here and it’s very good. "Chicken" sandwich and soy vanilla shake are tasty. If you’re vegan or vegetarian and looking for a quick bite this is a great option. Walkable but a bit of a longer walk, they have a very tiny parking lot and a drive through as well as outdoor seating and some street parking. ”

“This is one of the oldest breakfast spots in San Diego. We love this historic diner style restaurant and bakery. They serve classic American breakfast items and baked goods. Expect generous portions of comfort foods and old diner charm. This is walkable though it may be a bit of a hike, we usually take scooters. It does get quite busy later in the morning but it’s open at 7 so we recommend going a bit earlier to avoid a wait especially on weekends. ”
