The museum, dedicated in 1971 and refurbished in 2013, contains exhibits relating to the president's time in office, as well as important issues of the day, including the rise of the civil rights movement. “One of the loveliest drives any time of year in Austin happens on the Capital of Texas/360 Highway as you cross over Lake Austin (really the Colorado River). The rust-colored curved steel bridge — named officially for the architect, Percy V. Pennyback — is an architectural wonder in itself, stretching 1,150 feet across the lake without ever touching it. This keeps the lake clear for boaters and water skiers who love this hill-covered stretch of West Austin as much as the commuters who travel across it everyday on their way to work. The bridge is four lanes wide in addition to a six foot wide pedestrian and biking lane, and a southbound turnaround that allows for parking below the bridge. Sunsets are especially phenomenal as you cross over the bridge because you can take in the huge expanse of sky in all directions.”

“A truly "Austin" spot, castle hill is where all the best graffiti artists in town go to make their mark. Old school pros mingle with aspiring graffiti artists and the result is an outdoor art gallery for the people sprayed out on the footprint of what i believe is an old school foundation. Its a tourist destination for a reason but its also a blast to go and snap some pictures at. ”
