Misty Valley Bungalow in the authentic Blue Mountains, is a cosy little studio apartment nestled in our garden & accessed via a path from the driveway to the entry door.
Ideal for couples wanting complete privacy, families (children over 8 yrs) or friends enjoying active Blue Mountains time and preferring separate beds.
Dogs live here but do NOT enter the Bungalow.
A barbecue & Chiminea are provided for your use.
We, welcome the LGBTIQ community.
The Bungalow and our garden are the perfect place to relax after a day of sight-seeing, trekking, canyoning or gallery fossicking.
Kick back, cook a bbq meal and warm your toes by the Chiminea. Alternatively head into Blackheath village to dine at one of our wonderful eateries.
The Bungalow sleeps 2 adults very comfortably in the double bed.
There is a single bed plus a sofa bed that would suit 1 small person. (If you have a group & need even more room check out our 'couples' accommodation, Misty Valley Reconnect which sleeps 2 people - you could book both.)
There is a kitchenette with a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric frypan, toaster, kettle, cutlery, plates etc...plus a few essentials like cooking oil and salt & pepper. There is a bbq on the outside deck and a Chiminea ('fire pit') which is not for cooking (except perhaps marshmallows) but lovely to sit near.
Breakfast is not included, but do supply a range of teas, plunger coffee, sugar & milk.
There is a modern bathroom with heated towel rail (a must in winter!).
Our large garden deck set with table, chairs and a sun umbrella is directly accessible from the Bungalow for you to enjoy a relaxing time.

Park in one of the 2 marked spaces in our driveway, go through the gate on the right side of the house (make sure to close it securely), and follow the path all the way to the front door of the Bungalow.
The dogs Mimi & Snoopy might bark, then they'll greet you and demand to be patted.
We are happy for you to use the washing machine at $5.00 per load. We provide a clothes drying rack that can stand on the deck in the sun. If you wish to use the clothes dryer the charge is $8.00 per load.

We are NOT a few minutes walk to the village - we are NOWHERE NEAR the highway noise! Just bird song and yes, our dogs do bark occasionally - they like to defend their patch but are generally well behaved and very friendly.
We are a dog loving household. If you don't like dogs or have allergies, this is probably not the accommodation for you.
* Mobile phone reception is a problem depending on your carrier. It is excellent in the village so you won't be completely out of touch with the world (unless of course you want to be).
* We have wifi and a super booster and it is generally reliable however we are in the Mountains and atmospheric conditions can interfere. There is NOTHING we can do about this so we apologise in advance for any wifi disruption.
- ONLY children over 8 years

Since moving from Sydney to the Blue Mountains we have immersed ourselves in the Mountains Community. We sing with one of our local choirs, The Heathens, we are heavily involved in the Blackheath Rhododendron Society who operate and maintain the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens and we volunteer where we can with the community.
Listing Misty Valley Reconnect on Airbnb has given us the opportunity to meet and engage with people from across the globe which has been extremely rewarding. Sharing the beauty of Blackheath and surrounds with travellers from across the globe is a joy.
We are very proud to say that we have held 'Super Host' status since the beginning and work hard to provide the best service possible.
