Alexia, I am sorry you thought the room was not clean. The room was vacuumed the same morning you moved in. The paper bin was empty before you moved in. the paper you are referring to where receipts which were in a specific filling tray. in reading your comments i have acknowledged my filing shelves could of been dusted before you moved in, however the the desk and other furniture was polished/cleaned the the same day before you moved in and as well as the carpet just been hovered in the room, the hallway/living room carpets where hoovered and those rooms fully cleaned and the bathroom was cleaned about two hours before you arrived. so other than my dusty shelves (which will be clean next time someone stays) which i used for work and off limits to guests everything was cleaned to a high standard. So the cleaning fee that was in question here was adequate. Also, some hosts do not want guests stating for a very short time, eg one day and sometime request a min of a number of days stay. In my listing i find one days stay perfectly acceptable and class the 'cleaning' charge more or a premium than an actual cleaning charge for those staying a very short time. As a guest you should look at the over all price and if you are happy with it, then only then should you book. On the most part i disagree with your criticism as with the exception of by work shelves and filling racks the place was very clean. I didn't comment on you leaving glasses in the room but gave you a stellar review. I hope it helps the next time you book.
