This newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor of a charming, old Victorian home, and the spectacular views of the Choptank River, Long Wharf Park and the Lighthouse make the climb worth the effort!
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed; there are bunk beds in a smaller room off the bathroom; and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room. The spacious bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a lovely old pedestal sink. A full kitchen with a dining area makes meal preparation an option, but there are several delightful restaurants a short walk away where guests can sample delicious Chesapeake Bay cuisine.

Having lived here for 40 years, we can tell you places to visit, activities to enjoy, where to shop, and the best places to enjoy the area's blue crab specialties! There will be light snacks to welcome you, information about the area to read, and maybe even a morning treat to start your day! We love the Chesapeake Bay décor and the window seat views overlooking the brick street that leads to the river. Both the Eagleman and Ironman races take place here each year, with the course beginning just blocks away and the Ironman finish right in front of the house!
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
We do have some pets, but they do not visit the third floor. However, their presence does limit other pets visiting - except with rare exception.
We have always enjoyed sharing our home, and look forward to meeting new friends. We have a lot of experience being considerate of guests and making people feel welcome, and we expect that our guests will be equally considerate of us with the hours they keep and their noise level.

While new at hosting airbnb guests, hospitality has been important to me from my growing up years, and a hallmark of my 40 years in this lovely, three-story Victorian home on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Scores of people - children, grandchildren, aging parents, friends, and strangers who became friends - have found shelter here, enriching our lives, and theirs. After being widowed for 16 years, I remarried 6 years ago, and my husband Doug and I both enjoy traveling, and hosting travelers. In the past year we enjoyed time in London and Paris, had a fabulous trip to South Africa, and are looking forward to returning this winter to Maui and Kauai. Both of us are active in our churches, love to read, and enjoy keeping up with our 15 grandchildren, and 13, soon-to-be 14, great grands! We like art, and music, and beautiful things, but we especially want our home to be a comfortable place that we can share with family and friends, and now with airbnb guests. We live in the house where our airbnb apartment is located, so we will be on site and happy to answer questions or share information about this area. At the same time the apartment is private and it will be up to guests how much interaction they might want.
