It was our family home, filled with love and caring. Sleeps 7+ including basement room, 1.5 baths, house is renovated but older and well-used! As a very practical house, it is not fancy so you can totally relax with kids or pets. 1 km to Parliament, parks, rink, restaurants all within a few blocks. Grocery store and convenience store within a few blocks. Laundry, dishwasher, all included. Close to everything downtown, 10 mins to airport. Parking for small car and light breakfast provided.
This house is ideal for groups coming into town for festivals, races, conferences and business. 2 small cars can park in the back lot and there is plenty of street parking. Ottawa's major street for shopping, restaurants, etc is 3 blocks away

The couch is a trundle bed that can sleep 2 extra people.

WELCOME to the Gladstone House!
Cyndi and Ken are your hosts. We live directly behind this house on Florence Street, in the house to your left (when looking out the patio door) with the gate and the wooden fence. We have 3 kids, a dog and a cat. We are always busy doing something, running the food truck in the backyard, running a race, camping in the mountains, taking the kids to soccer, hockey or riding, performing at a gig, relaxing at the cottage or tending to our guests! This was our family home for 15 years. My kids were born and raised in this house, it is dear to my heart as it was the first home I bought. It's not fancy or new, but it is practical and it is downtown in the heart of the city. We hope you enjoy your stay!

General Information & House Rules
•Check-out time is 11am, check-in is 4pm unless otherwise arranged ahead of time
•Parking is located at the back of the house. The entrance to it is narrow, so large vehicles can't fit. Be careful because the opening is at its narrowest at the back of the house. If you are nervous about putting your car back there, park on the street, it is very unlikely to get a ticket. I have parked there for 15 years and I have received a total of 5 parking tickets in those years.
•WI-FI access: Network is COMWAVE and the password is: sr(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
•PLEASE!! If you need something, something is not working, text us or call us immediately (text is better)
•Public Transit: OC Transpo – (URL HIDDEN) , you can catch the #14 right on Gladstone, it goes to the heart of Rideau Street (direction east), and close to the Parliament buildings and other tourist attractions. It is about 2.4 km to Rideau and Sussex from this house.

•We prefer if you remove your shoes to walk around in the house
•Please clean up after yourself, remove all personal belongings and all personal garbage.
