This lakefront log home offers a vacation rental suite set on a beautiful vineyard with breathtaking view of Okanagan lake, a few hundred feet lakefront with a private beach, and lots of open space. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay!
Our vacation rental suite is located on the lower level of this Naramata Bench log home. You won’t feel like you’re in a basement though! Both bedrooms have full-size double patio doors stepping you right out onto your patio, the yard and vineyard, facing west. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. And the second bedroom has a full size bed and a set of twin-sized bunks. Between the two bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill style three-piece bathroom. (see picture of floor plan) If you're travelling as a few couples, you might find the layout just a bit unusual. We suggest using the outdoor patio as your walkway between rooms to maximize the bedroom privacy.
The living/dining/kitchen area is an open space with big windows and a double patio door. The living room has a queen sized pullout couch for extra guests, and there is a flat screen TV with cable and high-speed WiFi for those who want a bit of screen time. If you are looking for a bit more living space, there is an extra rec room just beside this suite that you can add on to your rental at an additional cost (subject to availability). It has a couple of couches, foosball table, shuffleboard table, a kids games table, and a chess and checkers board and backgammon to keep you busy. And more games are on their way!
The kitchen area is small, but it gets the job done. An apartment-sized fridge, two stove-top range, large toaster oven, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and pots/pans and dishes are there to help you prepare basic and more than basic meals. We don’t have an oven, but to make up for it there is BBQ outside. And of course, we wouldn’t have a vineyard without wine glasses and a decanter to help you enjoy your loot!
Enough about the indoor space, chances are you’ll want to relax in the beautiful Naramata bench outdoors with the spectacular view of Okanagan Lake! You’ve got your own private patio with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, and an outdoor dining area. There is a very large yard, and 3.5 beautiful acres of vines for everyone to enjoy. We are also lucky to have several hundred feet of lakefront! To get down to our private, natural beach you’ll have to take a bit of a walk down our dirt road. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down and there’s a bit of an incline, but well worth it! Great for an afternoon or a morning swim!
The Naramata and Penticton area has so much to enjoy. Explore some of the nearby wineries and restaurants for a taste of the best the region has to offer. Enjoy local festivals, weekly farmers markets, wine tours. Explore local boutiques for a sample of some local culture.
If exercise is more your speed, this estate is right along the Kettle Valley Railway trail, with hundreds of kilometres of cycling paths extending across British Columbia. Easy access to the trail is just a short ride away. If mountain biking is your thing, there are more than a handful of trails at all levels of difficulty nearby. Hit the water for some paddling, boating, fishing or swimming. We are only minutes away from Penticton, conveniently located for the Pentiction Challenge Triathlon, and 40 minutes from Apex Mountain Ski resort. This lakefront home is perfectly located for an active getaway.
Whether relaxing in wine country or training for the Penticton Challenge, this is the ideal place to call home during your stay.

With 3.5 acres of vineyard, a huge yard, and private patios, everyone should have more than enough outdoor space to relax in. We ask all of our guests to be respectful of others on the property. Please keep it down after about 10 or 11 pm. If a party is what you're after, this isn't the place for you..

We are glad that your friends/family/cousin/long-lost pen-pal will be able to join you for your holiday. Please let us know if your group size is growing. We do ask that pesky $25/person additional guest fee, and we are happy to add it on during or after your stay if there is a last minute change. If you are planning to host others for the day, please run it by us first. (Our septic system can only take so much before it gives in…) Unexpected guests may incur an extra cost, and/or be asked to leave. Maximum capacity is 8 guests.
A friendly reminder
Thank you for respecting the privacy of other vacation renters in our home. Noise can really travel in a log home, so please keep noise to a minimum after about 10 or 11 pm. If you are planning a party, please take it elsewhere.
There have been many forest fires in the area in summers past. Please be fire safe!
1.If you are going to smoke, smoke only outside, and make sure your butts are completely extinguished in the ashtray cans provided. Don’t flick your butts on the property. There’s lots of wind and dry brush around.
2.BBQ’s are provided in designated areas and set up with fire-retardant boards behind them. Please don’t move the BBQ’s or the fire-retardant boards as they protect the log home.
3.Bonfires are not permitted due to extreme fire hazard.
Being “Septic Conscious”
1.Use only the toilet paper provided and be sparing. Hopefully we have left enough single-ply toilet paper for your stay. If you run out, please top-up with single-ply only.
2.Dispose of all hygiene products, baby wipes, and other “city flushable” items in the trash
Admiring the Vineyard
Our home is set in a vineyard that grows some great Pinot, Merlot, Chardonnay and other varieties of grapes that make their way into wine made by Laughing Stock and Lang wineries (our favorites!)
1.Expect to see our viticulturist and his team out in the rows every 3-7 days. We will always keep the work to a respectable hour.
2.We don’t use any pesticides, and we irrigate the vines with gentle fertilizers. Sometimes we need to use fungicide on our vines. In that case there will be a sign on the row posts. Unless that sign is up, you can feel safe exploring the vines, but please don’t eat our grapes. They belong in the wine!
3.Our rows are the ones marked with white painted numbers. All others belong to our neighbors. Thank you for respecting their farm.
4.Please don’t move any sprinklers, hoses or irrigation lines. They may seem haphazard, but there’s method there! If you see one leaking or flooding, please tell Rose as soon as possible.
5.For safety and insurance reasons farm equipment, including the ATV, is off limits.
Lake Okanagan Natural Beach
1.To get down to our natural beachfront, there is a dirt road from the corner of Hyde Rd. and Naramata Rd. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down, and some parts can be a bit steep. We do not recommend driving down.
2.Our beachfront extends the length of our property line. The hut on the southern part of the beach, and about 50 ft. north of this hut, belongs to our neighbor.
3.Have fun and be safe! There is no lifeguard, so swim at your own risk.
4.Pack your beach/camp chairs, beach towels, water toys, and whatever you’d like to have fun with down by the water. It’s easy to spend all day down there!
5.Three Mile Beach and Naramata public beaches are just a short drive away if you are looking for a sandy spot to relax and swim
1.Well behaved dogs are welcome at our place, but make sure we’ve discussed this before you arrive
2.Please clean up after your furry friend; don’t let it linger
3.Please keep your pet on a long leash when they are not at your side since we don’t want to disturb the vines, vineyard workers, other guests and their pets.
4.Be careful! In the tall grass at the edge of our property there is be some spear grass which can be difficult to get out of your pets paws, ears, and fur.
5.Three mile Beach is just 5 minutes south on Naramata Rd has a dog beach to enjoy.
Thanks for reading, and for taking good care of our home. If you have any questions, or if you need anything at all, please don’t be shy. Have a great holiday!
