Two rooms are available. One w/double bed and one w/2single-beds. Optional extra bed available. Situated at the banks of Iceland's largest river Ölfusá. Gullfoss, Geysir, Eyjafjallajökull, Vestamanneyjar, Blue Lagoon og Reykjavík a short drive away.
The house is a modern building inspired by the traditional Icelandic turf-house aesthetic. In beautiful surroundings, just by the banks of the glacial river Ölfusá with a vista spanning the volcanoes Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. Because of the central location, just about all memorable and prominent locations of the South are within a mere hour's distance by car.

The bathroom is tastefully tiled, with a shower and a bath. Access to outside patios and garden as well as the immediate vicinity where salmon fishermen can be seen practicing their trade during the summer months. In the wintertime, it is often possible to see the Aurora Borealis.

Breakfast is served by the lady of the house, húsmóðurinni, who resides there most times and offers guests a sound Icelandic breakfast, containing the freshest of eggs, recently lain by the hens that reside in the back yard, fresh bread and locally made honey.
Shoes are taken off in the corridor
No cooking in the kitchen.
Never leave the house with bedroom keys.
After taking a shower, guests are expected to dry the floor afterwards.
I am a textile artist and my home is my workshop. Guests can experience all kinds of traditional woolworkings, plant dying and weaving. I introduce and explain the Icelandic wool, its properties as unique qualities to anyone interested.
