Thank you for your review for Condo #62. As (collectively) our well over 300 reviews will attest, it is extremely rare when I feel the need to call someone out, but that's exactly what I'm doing here, so hold on to that hat. First; Condo #62 is very accurately described on AirBnb as not having wifi connectivity. But, of course, you have to take the time to read the description, or at the very least, take the time to contact the host to ask any pertinent questions that you may have, before placing a reservation. We're always happy to assist, but we're not mind readers. There is no TV reception or cable access available in our wooded mountain area. For the record, there never has been, and there likely never will be (as least not in my lifetime). That said; all of the properties that we represent are equipped with monitors and either DVD players and/or (in a few cases) VHS players.
Upon placing a reservation, Guests are sent a very specific confirmation package that includes maps with directions to our office, (where they are instructed to check-in) as well as to their chosen vacation property. Our office is en-route, so one would literally have to pass right by our office (equipped with very large lit sign) to go about the process that you did. We have one office, not multiple offices (as your review states). It's really pretty simple; you stop at our office, pick-up your keys/gate passes, and proceed to your designated condo (or cabin) Again; everything that you need to check-in is provided in advance. It's not rocket science, but you have to take the time to read. You mentioned that your arrival was a "nightmare", and if one doesn't pay any attention to what their doing, I would fully expect that to be the case.
Again, the condo is very accurately described on the AirBnb platform, so that our Guests can see what they get, before placing a reservation. In this particular case, you chose to stay with us during the Thanksgiving Holiday, and as one would expect, corresponding holiday rates do apply. The good news is that there are no surprises, as AirBnb quotes the cost before a reservation is placed. If a potential Guest is not in agreement with the cost, then they have the option of finding a different property that more closely fits within their budget, instead of proceeding with a reservation and paying the quoted price, and then complaining about it afterwards. Again; a "world traveler" already knows this, right? Enough said.
Having served the Mt. Baker area for over 30-years with a large portfolio of properties, we believe that we have a pretty good grasp regarding our customer base; as many of our Guests have been staying with us generationally, and we consistently receive very good reviews both written and verbal. BTW: It's Gnothi Seauton (not Seuton). Know thy spelling!
In summary; it is very unlikely that we would be interested in hosting you in the future, but we do wish you good luck with all of your future endeavors. Dan
