Wagtail have recently been renovated. They are two charming semi detached, single storey barn conversions, set in the idyllic grounds of the owner’s home. Both have been decorated and furnished to a high standard. They have views over the gardens, brook and fields beyond. Ideal to relax in a quiet, unspoilt area, perfect for an exciting, active holiday or a romantic break. Excellent base for walking and cycling discovering the beautiful Offa's Dyke and the Mortimer Trail

Hereford 19 miles, Leominster 12 miles, Presteigne 6 miles; Hay-on-Wye 12 miles.The small town of Kington, highly regarded as a centre for walking. It is situated near the England/Wales,Offas Dyke border, a beautiful area known as the Welsh Marches. It is a wonderful area of wooded hills, tranquil valleys and unspoilt Black and White villages on the English side and the more rugged Cambrian Mountains on the Welsh side. Well known by visitors for its lovely scenery and excellent walking and cycling paths in the surrounding rolling hills.This quiet, pleasant town offers a number of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. There are a variety of tourist attractions close by including the Small Breeds Farm and Owl Centre, Kington Museum, Hergest Croft Gardens, Offa’s Dyke Path and Mortimer Trail long distance footpaths. Kington also hosts events such as The Kington Show in September, Kington Walking Festival also in September, Kington Festival in June and The Kington Vintage Show in August. Slightly further afield the National Trust properties of Croft Castle, The Weir Garden, Burton Court, Hampton Court Castle and Gardens, Berrington Hall and Westonbury Mill water gardens and Follies. Bradnor Hill, with England’s highest golf course, lies just outside the town. Also within easy reach is the delightful town of Hay-on-Wye with its numerous book shops, craft and antique shops, along with hosting the famous Hay Festival during the Spring Bank Holiday. Nearby is Ludlow, famous for its gourmet food shops, fine restaurants and Ludlow Castle. The ancient city of Hereford, with its impressive Norman cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi, a 13th century cartographer's interpretation of the world, offers a great day out. A delightful holiday location to suit all ages and tastes.
