Hall Farm is a working farm, dating back to the 14th century. The farm house is set in 3 acres of gardens in a central, but private, village location - in Stogumber, West Somerset. We are a family run B&B and like to promote a 'home from home' ethos. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden, patio area and summer house as part of their stay. The grounds include a large off-street parking area and secure parking for bikes / motorbikes/kayaks etc is also available.

De ruimte
Room 3 : Spinney, is a double room which overlooks the rear of the property with views of the steep fields behind where cattle can be seen grazing as well as the spinney.
The room is an ensuite room with a shower. It has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Bottled water is also provided.

Toegang voor gasten
Visitors have access to a guest lounge, with its original stone fireplace, and are welcome to use the lounge throughout their stay.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens and make use of the summer house and terrace area.
The B&B is situated next to the village church and a private path through the churchyard leads to the village pub and shop/post office.

Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
We are a family run B&B and farm, and guests are likely to meet family members as they pop in to the farm.
We have a resident Boxer dog - Jess - who likes to join guests in the garden.

Hall Farm offers a tranquil retreat from which to explore the Quantock Hills, Exmoor National Park as well as the West Somerset Coastline on foot or by car/bicycle. Stogumber is home to a West Somerset Steam Railway station, allowing visitors to make trips through the countryside to the coast.
There are a number of footpaths around the village which guests may care to explore - giving views of the village from all angles. Booklets are available and we can give directions.
The village hosts a range of events that visitors may like to consider - an annual village fete, a music festival, a beer festival ... Details can be found on the village website. A number of festivals are also held in other local villages and towns, including the live music festival in the nearby harbour town of Watchet.

I am a member of a family who have farmed in the village of Stogumber for over 70 years. The main farmhouse is located in the centre of the village, surrounded by garden and an orchard and part of my role is to look after the gardens. I have recently retired from my job as a Special Needs teacher to help out more with the farm and B&B. I am keen that guests have time to relax and soak in the local countryside when staying with us.

We are happy to accommodate larger groups of visitors and families. For example, in the past we have been able to rearrange our dining space to allow a large family to have a shared breakfast experience. Please feel free to discuss specific requests with us at the time of booking.
