Snug single room in peaceful home in quiet cul-de-sac. Spacious kitchen, lounge and dining area available for eating and relaxing. Excellent travel links, a few minutes from Parkway Station, ideal for access to UWE and other north Bristol locations.
The house is a 1970’s semi in suburban North Bristol; it’s been a much-loved home to my family for the past 25 years and has been recently extended at ground floor level, reordered and redecorated.
The kitchen is light and spacious, with a wicker settee – ideal for enjoying a cuppa or glass of wine in the afternoon/evening sun. Patio doors open out onto the garden, and there is also a separate dining area, utility area and downstairs WC. The tranquil lounge gets the morning sun and has a unique stained glass window, mantelpiece, two large comfortable settees, and a 40” flat screen (HD) TV (Freeview, Netflix and DVD player).
Upstairs there are three bedrooms (one other also Airbnb listed - “Double Room near Parkway Station”) and a bathroom - with bath and over-bath shower with glass screen.
You have your own room (with drawer and hanging space) and share the bathroom with me and any other guest(s). It is the 'third bedroom' and as such fairly small - but it is simple, snug and comfy.
Bedding is all new and comfortable – duvets and pillows are feather and down filled. Bath and hand towels are supplied for your use. There is a hairdryer, and a supply of basic toiletries (shampoo, shower gel etc.), provided for guests well.

In addition to the privacy of your own bedroom, guests are welcome to use the communal areas – kitchen/utility, dining room, lounge and garden – and log onto the Wi-Fi. Come and go as you want/need to –front door key provided if required.
You are free to use the lounge to relax, watch television, read etc. There are DVDs and books you are welcome to borrow. Kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits and so on are provided in the kitchen. I will provide a selection of cereals, bread, pastries, spreads, yoghurt and/or fruit for breakfast. (Please let me know before hand of any specific dietary requirements or preferences and I will do my best to meet them). Cooking facilities, washing machine, dryer and iron could be available if required. Please ask about this. There are two takeaways, a pub which serves food, and dry-cleaners - each about 2-3 minutes’ walk from the house.
There is off street parking on my driveway, but if both spaces happen to be in use there is plenty of free on street parking round about.

I’ll do my best to ensure that I am there to welcome you when you arrive, show you around, offer refreshments and chat a bit. My work is reasonably flexible which means I am often at home during the day, but may at times be working elsewhere.
You’ll find this is a quiet and peaceful place to stay. I am friendly, welcoming and hospitable but will generally leave you to get on with what you want to do – whilst being available if needed for help, advice or information.
No shoes or smoking in the house. Use Wi-Fi network and TV channels for legal, moral and decent viewing only. Come and go reasonably quietly, especially at night. In short: please respect my home and treat it as you would wish yours to be treated.
