The Mas is within easy driving distance of l’Isle sur la Sorge, Avignon, Vaison-la-Romaine, Orange, Arles and the Abbaye de Senanque. Shop in the local market towns of St. Didier and Pernes les Fountaines and dine in Venasque, Pernes, or the surrounding vineyards like Domaine de la Camarette.
Le Vaucluse is noted for its excellent marked hiking and biking trails, ruggedly beautiful scenery, and access to Mont Ventoux and the Luberon yet it is close to the many historic towns of Provence for markets, antiques, historical sites, and Roman ruins.
It is rare that you can find such secluded, raw beauty of nature yet have all the benefits of Provence’s art, cultural, music and historic opportunities so close.

The owner enjoyed finding the unique place to build such a retreat, etched into the side of the mountains, furnished with architectural artifacts from my years collecting antiques, surrounded by the harmony of the gardens and pool.
Born in France, I fell in love with this scenic valley and Provence in general. In 1972 I built my own home here, and later the main guesthouse, which is detached and private. I owned a specialty heritage architectural design company and used many of those gifts in building the guest home. I want to share my love of this valley and nature with others from around the world.
