It is in a two rooms apartment, located in the traditional and windy ¨San Fernando¨ neigthborhood.
It is mandatory to leave your shoes at the door. Be careful with the order and cleanning.
I enjoyed my stay with Libertad for 1 month to learn Cali-style salsa dancing. Her apartment is located on top of a small hill in a safe neighborhood, and near everything a visitor might need. There are also a few private security guards in the area. Libertad was very friendly, accommodating, and respectful. Her place is fully stocked and she allows you use everything within reason. She also has a cute and friendly black cat called Isis Moon - the cat is young and a bit crazy sometimes. If you fancy dancing, some popular discotecas are nearby La Topa Tolondra (5 minutes walking) and Tin Tin Deo (20 minutes walking). I took private lessons at Son de Luz, which is also in close proximity, and El Manicero (25 minutes walking) for group/social dancing in the evenings. I had a good time and recommend Libertad for your stay in Cali. Things of note, others have mentioned - there is no hot water and no A/C - like most places in Colombia. I never found this to be an issue for me.
My two weeks in the company of Libertad and her spunky kitten Isis Moon were great. Her place is cute and really well located. The room is comfortable and I had everything I needed. The lack of hot water was almost a problem in the Cali heat. It was the perfect place to have some relaxing, down-time for a traveller on the go.
For more than 5 weeks I lived in the house of Libertad. She is a friendly and open minded person who makes you feel home right away. Miraflores is a quiet barrio, but in 10-15 minutes you can walk to San Antonio, a nice walk crossing the famous Calle 22 of the barrio Libertadores, which is like a little village. I absolutely enjoyed my time in Cali in this house.
