All as said before: a spacious, modern, great flat; nice bathroom, 2 toilets, bathtub, hot shower, balcony to the backyard and a huge balcony to the front. wonderful view on the mountains. The place and neighbourhood felt save and is so, just keep in mind, it's still Cape Town, Woodstock. (If you are a regular visitor to New York, you'll find in Woodstock, the kind of life and atmosphere that you have in nowadays' Brooklyn-Bushwick too, including all, what goes along with that.) - Shops and bars in short walking distance, also places for breakfast and the famous Jamaican Me Crazy, which is definitely a good hang-out in the evening. On Albert road, less than 10 min walk, you have the new art and design district and further on Lower Main Road you'll find yourself again surrounded by nice, young cafés, bars and shops for little treasure hunting.
Giovanni is just a great person and a wonderful and active host. From the first minute he never gave me the feeling of a visitor or stranger, i was rather directly integrated in the household but still had all my own privacy and space at the same time. Giovanni is mostly busy in the day but whenever he's free he is more than happy to take you hiking, climbing or showing you secret places to swim in the middle of a night. I felt very welcomed in Giovannis place. - and there's a stylish coffee-maker, too. :))
