Reverse cycle air conditioning compliments the natural ability of the qlder cottage to cope with the seasons.
The house is a traditional size and layout with two queen rooms and twin single room for a comfortable night sleep.
The kitchen is fully appointed with induction cook top, convection microwave and full oven. Full size fridge, coffee machine, dishwashers and large bench space for easy prep and quick meals at the breakfast bar.
A large 10kg washing machine and dryer or clothesline ensure you'll be able to keep up with your laundry duties.

One Mile is a mix of the old and new. With a brand new housing estate directly across the road, Flamin' Galah House is the Jewel of the street in all her restored traditional Queenslander glory.
Amberley airbase is nearby. So from time to time you may have a very up close personal view with some of the Airforce's cooler machinery. Great for kids and adults alike.
The neighbours at FGH keep to themselves and are nice and quiet. We hope your stay won't be impacted by them, or their's by yours. FGH is relaxing and private with all the sounds of a suburban area. Ice cream trucks frequent the streets and pedestrians often walk their dogs after work.

We're a hard working couple with a passion for improving property and for the traditional Queenslander house. Living on a farm in the Lockyer Valley, in our restored Queenslander, we scratch the renovation itch with FGH as our first town escape. Restorations finished February 2016 and now she’s part of the family. Dot is the most recent property we have restored (completed June 2019). We are pleased to share our fully furnished and very unique homes with travellers from all over the world so they can experience Ipswich like a local from a safe and comfortable base. Our day jobs have daily consideration for giving the best service and communication to our customers, and its natural we do the same for our guests. You probably won’t meet us in person, but you’ll almost feel like you have!
