The upstairs loft is located in a 18th-century-style guest house on a scenic coastal byway with views of the tall Douglas Fir trees in the quiet countryside of south Whidbey Island. We are situated only 3 miles from the quaint city of Langley and 15 minutes from the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry.
The loft was built in 2010 as a guest residence above our wood working studio on the main floor. (It only operates mid morning to early evening). The room is 440 square feet with a queen bed and full bath with jetted tub and shower combination. The kitchenette is complete with a microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, dishes, utensils, under the counter refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and countertop toaster oven, but does not have a range or stove. The bar has two stools and we provide coffee/tea and a few breakfast goodies. There is a cosy gas stove for chilly nights.

We are on the premises most times and do check in to empty trash and restock amenities. We love people and always like to visit but also respect your privacy.

I am a retired elementary school teacher who loves history , dogs, camping and people.
I was raised on a fruit farm in Michigan where we always baked and made yummy fruit deserts! I still love to bake and include these in my guest's breakfasts.
We built The Hayloft and our house by ourselves - a life-long dream. They are reminiscent of the architecture in New England.
