Quiet, private, cozy one-room cabin next to the National Forest. Futon couch opens into a double bed that sleeps two. Kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and two-burner stovetop. The water supply is from a water dispenser. Simple source separation bucket toilet. No shower. There is a Rinnai heater to keep you warm on chilly summer nights.

De ruimte

The cabin is rustic (think glamping, but with a roof and four walls), yet cozy and comfortable. It is easily accessible from the road but is private and adjacent to acres of National Forest. You'll hear a stream and waterfall in the distance and birds at dawn. There are Adirondack chairs out front and a fire ring for a campfire. An iHome allows you to plug in your iPhone and play music (but no WiFi). The cabin is stocked with numerous board games.

Toegang voor gasten

There is a short trail right out the door to a 15-foot waterfall. You can hike and bike directly from the cabin. There are mountain biking trails as well as swimming and boating at Blueberry Lake, a five-minute drive. It is a 10-minute drive to quaint Warren Village; and 15 minutes to Waitsfield, the Long Trail, Sugarbush Resort activities, and Yestermorrow Design/Build School. The Mad River Valley has amazing outdoor recreation opportunities, festivals, covered bridges, craft and antique shops, etc.

Very quiet and clean, the description is very accurate as well. The heater kept us warm at night, you may want to bring extra blanket or some kind of cushion since the futon was kind of hard for us

Wonderful!!! The cabin is private and yet a short (and absolutely beautiful) ride to town. The cabin was just perfect for our quick get away and having a fire under the stars in October with the foliage was a dream. The futon was super comfortable, the space is certainly large enough for two, there are tons of board games to play, a large water jug was provided and the heater heated the space very quickly on the chilly (50) night... it was perfect! Tara & Dan were great with communication/ making sure we were all set and we really look forward to coming back soon!

If you want a quaint, quiet, cozy Vermont experience--- look no further. You'll have everything you'll truly need for a good stay (the heat is a nice bonus). We very much enjoyed our two nights in the cabin and hope to come back soon! Dan and Tara were excellent hosts and seemed very attentive. Our recommendations-- Mount Abraham and Camel's Hump are both exhilarating and enjoyable day hikes within an hour from the Cabin. Also, The Mad Taco a bit north of Warren was DIVINE! But at the end of the day, you can't beat the beauty of this area.

It was perfect! Tara was very easy to communicate with. Hiking trails, small stream, and a waterfall all on and around the property.

Dan and Tara have a lovely little cabin. It was a perfect weekend- despite the rain. We were able to enjoy the waterfall, just a short hike down the hill, near the cabin, and a lovely campfire, the day we first arrived. We were thinking of going camping, but this was so much better! While it did rain on our little weekend get-away, the cabin was warm and cozy, and the added bonus of a heater, coffee maker and mini stove top made everything so much better (no need to try and start a campfire to cook in the rain!) We had just enough space for the two of us, and stayed warm and dry. I had been to Warren numerous times in July for the 4th Parade, so taking a drive to the town center and going to the Warren store, a short drive away, was a treat. We didn't get to make use of Blueberry Lake, down the hill, but we would love to come back and take a dip! Dan and Tara were very good at communicating with us, responding quickly and answering any questions I may have had. Overall, a wonderful experience, and one I am looking forward to repeating.
