Blue Oak Ranch was designed in harmony with nature to enjoy the land and have the comforts of modern living. Of course there is high speed wifi and flat panel TVs, but the wandering buck, curious wild turkeys and chirping frogs and crickets are the local entertainment.

The property, which originally attracted gold prospectors during the 1850s, turned to a cattle ranch. It is now a retreat to relax and enjoy the spirit of Gold Country and the West. It is your gateway to the Yosemite, the Sierra Nevadas and many other local attractions. Boating and swimming at Lake Don Pedro is only a few miles away. Tickle your palate tasting fine wines at Murphys. Or relive the Old West at the historic ghost town of Columbia. In winter, head up to Dodge Ridge to snow board and enjoy other alpine activities.

The open plan on the ground floor features an airy double height living room with a kindling fire place and dining room. The large windows connect you with the outside. The open gourmet kitchen with countertop bar emphasize a social atmosphere to enjoy food and drinks. Adjoining the kitchen is a butlers pantry complete with a coffee bar.

There are two downstairs bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. They open to a patio overlooking the Red Hills Park. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other 2 twin beds.

Upstairs is the sanctuary 3-room master suite with a lounge area, bedroom, home office and a spa bathroom. Special features include a fireplace, balcony overlooking the Sierra Nevadas and a hotel-inspired minibar. In the ensuite bathroom you can luxuriate in the double tub or double rain shower for the ultimate escape and relaxation.

The outdoor area has a western facing patio perfect for happy hour 'sundowners'. A barbecue and dining area invite you for a sumptuous meal of grilled local beef and veggies under the stars. And in case it gets chilly, the outside fireplace will warm you up.

There is a separate guest studio apartment over the garage with a queen bed and futon to sleep 2-4 people. It is self contained with a private entry, kitchenette and bathroom. We offer it separately on airbnb but recommend you also rent it for an extra $95 for exclusive use of the entire property.
