It's in nature of our field home to cater to mature adults. We ask guests to respect that this is first and foremost a private place that we selectively share. Our hope is that you'll find it just as homey as we do - and that you'll want future guests to enjoy it with the same satisfaction. While enjoying your time with friends and family, please help us preserve an atmosphere where our mountains neighbors can enjoy the same peace and quiet. Thank you! :-)
- Mountaintop location, so guests are asked to keep volume down throughout their stay and avoid outside volume after dark.
We're family owners located in DC, originally from Ohio and Pennsylvania. Like a lot of working couples, we value those few weeks each year when we can stash the smartphones, turn on the Out of Office, grab our bathing suits / hiking shoes / a few good long books, and just rediscover each other in a place we love.
Our family of origin built this home nearly half a century ago, and has continually maintained and enjoyed it every year since. We first visited this village in the 1950s, returning to vacation here many times before finally deciding to build. Our summers there have defined key moments in our lives: sailing and swimming races, student theater productions at the Arts Center, trailblazing woods around the lake, hiking and camping in World's End and Ricketts Glen State Parks, and of course the town's annual Water Carnival. We love this place - and want to share it with couples and small families or groups who would savor a smarter, simpler, more intimate time away.
