We had a lot of difficulty finding the building where Jameson's place is located. It was dark when we arrived, with very little lighting. We had been asked by Jameson what time we would arrive, and told him. When we could not find the building or entrance, we tried to text him and message him through Airbnb. It took close to an hour for him to reply. In my opinion, if he knew we were checking in at a certain time, he should be available for questions in a more timely manner. We were stressed and panicked, and ready to leave, but we knew the strict cancellation policy would mean we would lose all our money. We felt like we were in an episode of "The Amazing Race" trying to check ourselves in, but managed. Only to find there was no TV or internet. There were NO instructions whatsoever in the unit as to wifi or passwords, etc. When Jameson finally messaged us back, he said we "should have received" the wifi name and password from Airbnb, which we did not. He texted a photo of this to us, but we could still not get it to work, so he arrived about 20 minutes later to fix it. He was VERY NICE, and pleasant, but this did not make up for the stress I felt trying to relax after a long day of driving from Canada. The bed and sofa were comfortable. As others have stated, there was a strong odor in the hallway, and a heavy aerosol air freshener scent in the unit, with the aerosol can sitting on the counter. The toilet still rocks when you sit on it. The window is still broken and taped. This made us feel unsafe for sure. The unit is described as a "loft" but it is NOT a loft, it is a below-grade "bachelor" style apartment with cinder block walls in the hallways. There were no towels whatsoever, but upon asking, Jameson went to his other unit in the building and brought us two bath towels. No hand towels, washcloths or kitchen towels. There are a few plastic dishes but no cutlery at all. We were not happy with this guest experience, and would not stay there again.
