***Check Calendar for OFF SEASON / WINTER RATES**** Our cozy home is located on Seward's Salmon Creek. Just outside of city limits, you'll be close to town while having a private location in the woods (and avoid the $35 city bed tax!). We are minutes from Kenai Fjords National Park, Exit Glacier, and have and active bald eagle nest on our property. Enjoy the full kitchen, outdoor grill, and fire pit. Even our friends who live in Alaska agree, this is a special and tranquil location.
This small, two story home is full of large windows, vaulted tongue-in-groove wood ceilings, and custom wood doors. You'll have a full acre (about the size of a football field) offering private access to Salmon Creek. Watch bald eagles fish and salmon running upstream! The fresh, filtered ground water system is cold and delicious. Our cabin is not huge at just over 1,000sf, and is perfect for 4 to 6 guests.
Toegang voor gasten
You have the whole house, fire-pit, and shoreline to yourselves. Skip going out to eat and use the fully equipped kitchen. Then roast marshmallows on the campfire for dessert!
Interactie met gasten
During the summer, I travel between Anchorage and Seward. I have a trusted housekeeper who cleans and takes care of the house between guests. I am always available by phone if you have any questions, concerns, or need help finding something. Just ask!
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
You will be sharing the lot with our closest neighbors: A pair of American Bald Eagles. It is against the law to harass them or the nest, but take all the pictures you like. Occasionally moose, porcupine, and bear wander into the yard from the creek. It's never been an issue for us or our kids but, for your own safety, never approach wildlife of any kind in Alaska.
-No fires if there is a fire ban in place
-Do not harass eagles or their nest
