My place is close to farmer's market, Blackstone River, Hope St marketplace and restaurants, 10 minute drive to the West Side, Brown University, RISD, and downtown. It's a great home base for visiting colleges or checking out Providence in the summer.
This light, airy apartment is the first floor of a house. It is super cozy and welcoming and includes a back yard with a grape arbor and seating. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
- No smoking or parties. Be mindful of your upstairs neighbor, and be kind of the plants (indoors and out!). The kitchen is fully stocked and yours to use, but please be kind to the cast iron pans and use coasters on all surfaces.
- There is an air conditioner available for use. The spare room can be used for sleeping with an air mattress, yoga meditation, etc.
I'm a grad student in Art History with a pretty mobile lifestyle! Right now I'm living in Providence, RI, but in the last four years I've lived in Vermont, Montreal, and Chicago. I'm an avid reader, and possibly and even more avid eater. ;) I haven't gotten to do as much of it as I'd like lately, but I love to travel! I studied abroad in Hong Kong and graduated from high school in Malaysia.
I LOVE being a tourist--when I travel by myself I love to get to know a city by walking it, and I try to go to every art museum I can possibly visit while I can! I try to get by on the cheap, but can't resist a good meal or two while I'm on holiday.
As for how I live my life, I believe kindness is paramount. It's an easy thing to dismiss "niceness" as a boring trait, but I think being truly kind to other people is a really valuable skill. And, as my dad used to say, "at least, be yourself."
