We take all reviews seriously and I believe this was our worst review ever.
Windex was spilled by our cleaner and unfortunately it pooled under the produce drawer out of site and sat for awhile. This was our responsibility. Our handyman is our cleaner and he could have cleaned when he fixed the low water pressure but Susan had already addressed the issue upon his arrival.
The heaters are not complicated but we give instructions for our cold weather guests on how to use . Using Susan’s feedback, we have amended our instructions for our summer guests to include the heater instructions for those late summer chilly nights.
We market our camp as a remote Camp in the mountains with dirt roads and hills. This attracts many visitors for the peace and quiet and a chance to see a bear or moose. We are near a lake and less then 10 minutes to the town of Warren. We send detailed step by step driving instructions and advise to not use gps. There should be no surprises.
Upon arrival our camp has basic instructions (WiFi , garbage, etc) on the fridge and a coffee table with maps, phone book, tourist brochures, etc. We also have a guidebook with local restaurants, grocery, places to visit, etc. thru our Airbnb listing. Perhaps a printed binder will be something to consider.
We are sorry Susan didn’t have a 5 star visit. We rent our camp for people to relax and enjoy the beautiful Mad River Valley as we do and am disappointed when this doesn’t happen. We constantly amend, change, and work to improve visits for all our guests.
