I had a gut negative feeling about this guest, the first time ever. I should have paid attention to it. She arrived after I left, to freshly washed sheets and towels, and a freshly washed floor, clean bathrooms, etc. She had failed to communicate for several days before arrival, so I had to spend hours the day I was supposed to leave making backup plans, in case she didn't show. She only contacted me when I called AirBnB to ask what to do, and they contacted her. This was billed as a catsitting stay, so I charge very little. The guest complained in her private review about having to text maybe 3 times to let me know how things were going with the cat. I wish she had said something to me about her complaints, so we could clear up any misunderstandings without leaving negative reviews, which damage reputations. But since she went there...I came home to ash marks on a sofa cover and some burned gunk on my stove that was difficult to remove.
