A lovely duplex apartment - once the home of Morrissey - in an Edwardian mansion house on the leafy Bowdon/Altrincham border. 8 minutes walk from trams, trains and award-winning Altrincham Market House (one of Manchester's most exciting foodie destinations) just 15 minutes drive to Manchester Airport, Dunham Massey and Tatton Park National Trust estates and the motorways on a beautiful, peaceful road, it's so easy to access Manchester theatres, Old Trafford Football and Cricket Grounds.
Although technically this is a private room, not a self contained apartment, in effect you will have the whole of the floor to yourself, as we live on a different floor. So your stay will be very peaceful and other than coming up to our floor for breakfast you can have as much or as little interaction as you like.
Toegang voor gasten
You will have your own private bedroom with ensuite. You will also have access to another bathroom and a sitting room with TV. (Very occasionally one of our adult children is home for the weekend in which case these would be shared.) You will also be welcome in our kitchen for breakfast, and can sit in the beautiful gardens if you like.

Of course we will be available for help and advice throughout your stay, in person or by mobile if you are out and about.
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
We are literally a 5 minute walk from an ever increasing number of cafes and restaurants - including the award winning Altrincham Market House, and surrounding eating places such as Sugo Pasta Kitchen and 3 Belgian bars. Our road is extremely quiet but there is a real buzz once you get into the Market area.
- we are quite easy going but particularly during the week would ask that no music or tv is played after 11pm or before 7am
We are a sociable, easy-going couple whose children have now grown up and left home (mostly!). We enjoy live music, theatre, literature, food (eating and cooking), walking, and friends both old and new. We like the idea of opening our home to new people, and are equally happy to have a drink with you and give you information about our lovely part of the country, or to let you do your own thing and come and go as you please. We have used Airbnb ourselves as guests in the UK and in many European countries, and really hope this has given us a good idea of what makes a good host.
