Wight Cottage is in St Mary's Road, close to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Cowes High Street.
You'll appreciate the careful refurbishment of this 150 year old shipwright's cottage. In the summer you can throw open the French windows to a sunny garden. In the winter the underfloor heating will keep you warm or you can light a log fire.
Wight Cottage is just a few minutes walk from both Cowes Yacht Haven and Shepards Wharf Marina, so it’s the ideal accommodation for a Cowes sailing event.
The tiny external appearance of Wight Cottage belies its spacious interior.
The ground floor has been extended to include a large kitchen with dining area. French windows open out to decking and a patio garden with tables and chairs for meals outdoors.
The main bedroom with double bed is upstairs on the first floor, alongside a roomy bathroom with walk-in shower (no bathtub). The attic bedroom has twin beds and is accessed by a full sized staircase.
A folding bed is available to accommodate a fifth guest in the sitting room.

- Wight Cottage is your home while you stay here but you must take off shoes when you go upstairs, please.
- No indoor parties allowed but the garden is very good for outdoor entertaining in the summer.
After a 20 year career as a stage manager and general manager in the arts and entertainment world, Andrew became a professional windsurfing instructor at the age of 40. He went on to found the UK and Australia-based sailing and water sports training organisation, Flying Fish, acting as Managing Director of the UK company until he retired in 2016.
Andrew lives in London. He and his partner Stephen invite you to rent one of their well equipped holiday homes: Wight Cottage in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, UK, and Willow Cottage at Chancery Lane near Long Beach, Christ Church, Barbados.
In Barbados they are assisted by their good friend and local resident, Claudia. She is fluent in German and English and very knowledgeable about the island. Claudia has lots of recommendations on what to do during your stay in Barbados.
