This is a bright, medium sized bedroom with shared bath across the hall. Though we are still working on the house, this room is relaxing and comfortable. You are welcome to enjoy the living room, dining room, and porches, as well as the grounds. We are happy to offer you a light breakfast before you head off to visit the waterfalls, lakes, Ithaca, Watkins Glen, Corning, or to take a wine/cider/cheese tour.
Our hope is that guests will appreciate the retreat-type atmosphere of this Federal farm house, even as we continue to work on the renovation and decoration. We have 3 rooms @ Yellow House on Airbnb, in addition to space for family and other friends.

Guests are welcome to use the living room, porch, decks, and grounds. We do a lot of cooking and canning, so the kitchen is not regularly available and there may not be much room in the refrigerator. You are always welcome to make tea.
Interactie met gasten
We want to be here to greet you and make sure you get coffee and breakfast. We are sociable introverts, happy to help you find local places of interest, happy to chat, but we totally get people who just want time to themselves.
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
We are working on the house and property renovations and keep ducks and chickens, so we cannot guarantee constant quiet. We aim to have quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
We do not permit smoking, drinking, pets, or parties. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM and run until 7:00 AM.
I retired from the chaplaincy at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2015 and now work quarter time as parish priest for Christ Episcopal Church in Willard. I enjoy meeting people, but I love quiet. I love to walk, knit, make preserves, jellies, pickles and canned fruit. Mary Oliver is my favorite poet.
My husband David is a physician who works in Newfoundland about half the year. He likes to make Windsor chairs and do other wood working.
We keep chickens, ducks, and bees and make maple syrup in the early spring. We both love to read.
