This amazing piece of heaven has 14 secluded acres on the eastern edge of our farm, founded in 1760. Beautiful meadows, forest, springs, and streams. Pet friendly. We love doggy visitors! Hiking available throughout the farm and surrounding area. Great for family reunions, birthdays anniversaries, and simple, safe, secure, times of rest. There is a fire pit for chilly nights around the campfire.

This Passport model trailor/ house is for outdoor enthusiast. Our tastefully remodeled 1956 trailor/ house surrounded by 50 of the most beautiful acres in Grayson county. Spectacular southern views of mountains in Allegheny and Ashe county, North Carolina. There is no WiFi but good cell phone signal is available all over property including 4G. You will find plenty of restaurants and bars in Independence, VA and Sparta, NC but we have found that once you arrive you don't want to leave
Up on the Laurel’s Dongola Cabin is a secluded, compact 384 square foot cabin designed to be a place for recreating, writing, relaxing and star-gazing. It sits on the south side of Iron Mountain in the Jefferson National Forest’s Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and takes in the scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. Its proximity to sites and towns of middle Appalachia, along with its fresh water, fresh air and relaxed pace make our cabin a lovely spot to visit.
We have been renovating an old 1950’s dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private Rustic Rooster Room on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. The room is perfect for families to come enjoy the outdoors! We also have 2 other Suites available: Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2 Creekside Bungalow, sleeps 4

The Silo was finished in Nov 2018. We’ve been renovating this old 1950’s dairy barn/silo since 2013. The Silo has 4 floors and the top 2 are yours! There is a living room on the third floor (and bathroom) and bedroom at the very top with windows all around and 360 degree view ! Also your own private deck off the bedroom.
Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to make your stay wonderful. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking/biking trails, rafting, horseback riding, wineries and antiquing. You won’t be disappointed. Country setting on 4 acres with large pond, pavilion, large porch with rocking chairs and blankets to get comfy on those cool nights and morning coffee.
The 215 acre On the Windfall Farm offers a great natural escape. There is a diverse topography of wilderness to explore and discover. Marked hiking trails that include high ridges with large rock formations, fern laden paths. Just 15 mins to the VA Creeper Trail. Hot tubs, long range views, WIFI. Clean, comfortable, upscale cottages. Collect farm fresh eggs for breakfast. We raise Katahdin sheep, Scottish Highland cows, and have an assortment of barnyard personalities on the farm. : )
