Ground floor with a large pull-out sofa in the living room, for 2 to sleep - Sleeping loft with a queen size bed for 2 and a bed for 1 - Bathroom with a great shower - Fully equipped Kitchen. Dining table for 2-6 people enlarged. Clothes Washer. Laptop friendly workspace and free wifi. Piano in the cottage and a great speaker. Free parking beside the cottage. Grocery stores and swimming pools near and walking trails in great nature. Great bus links and bus stops near.

Eyvindartunga farm cottage - renewable energy

This charming family cottage is close to many of the natural wonders in the South of Iceland, the "Golden Circle". Like many old traditional farms in Iceland, Eyvindartunga is a sheep farm. Fourth generation lives on the farm, with ewes who roam freely with their lambs during summer. Since the year 1929 we have been harnessing the river Sandá, producing now annually ca. 5 GWh of electrical energy for both the farm itself and the nearby area, including the nearby village Laugarvatn.

A cozy little cottage, 26 m² (280 sq ft), located in the heart of South Iceland, slightly off the beaten path, but only a 10-minute drive from Road 1 and the nearest town, Hvolsvöllur. This is a perfect location for a few days' stay to enjoy all that the south has to offer. Please refer to our Guide Book for further details. We offer free Wi-Fi and free parking. In 2022 and 2023, the patio has undergone a complete renovation, and there have also been some partial interior upgrades.

Cool Cottage close to Reykjavík - hot tub

The cottage is located on a farm, Kalastadir, only 55 km from Reykjavik. It can house up to 6 people. It´s close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. There is a free WIFI and on the veranda is a private hot tub where you can soak while enjoying the view. It´s close to Glymur, the tallest waterfall in Iceland and the shore where the seals are. Since there is no light polution here as in towns and Reykjavík, it´s a good place to watch the Northern Lights.

This unique location gives you the opportunity to stay in your own world with the beautiful Nordic Lights at winter and the Icelandic untouched nature and wildlife all around you at summer time. Very cozy cottage with a great view over South Iceland (Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull.) Fully furnished, 60m2, two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and a bathroom. Good for 4 persons. Nice terrace, and a hot tub. 100 km asphalt road from Reykjavik. 10 km from Geysir (part of the Golden Circle). Very close to Réttin restaurant/reception,and a golf Course during sumertime.
