Wat je gaat doen

We will take the recently inaugurated metro (subway) to "downtown" Panama and get off at Plaza 5 de Mayo. From there we will walk towards one of the city's first commercial area: Central Avenue. As we walk through this pedestrian area I will tell you about the history and point out some interesting buildings, stopping for pictures along the way. Here we will stop and enter the hidden store where our native people buy the fabric for making their clothes: it's an explosion of color. Then we will walk all the way down to Salsipuedes where I will tell you briefly about Panama's national costume the Polllera. Here at Salsipuedes you can buy inexpensive replicas of some of the basic jewelry worn by the women in this attire.
We will end our walk after visiting the the Santa Ana Church at the Santa Ana Plaza.

Waar je naartoe gaat

We'll start at the Subway Station, then walking to Plaza 5 de mayo, Central Avenue, Salsipuedes ending at Santa Ana Church. On the way we'll visit an unknown spot (even to locals like me) where our early native inhabitants purchase the textiles to make their colorful clothing.
