Wat je gaat doen
Your bike, food and history tour starts at La Bicycletterie (www.la-bicycletterie.com) located cosily at the foot of the Croix-Rousse hill where we'll meet you. Our meeting point is also a café so turn up early if you need a hit of caffeine or a drink!
After getting set up with your bicycle we'll cycle by the power of
our own legs on mechanical bikes (no e-bikes) but even if your not a regular cyclist you'll be fine as the tour is completely flat and ridden at a leisurely pace.
We’ll be using bike lanes, riding through squares and along the 2 rivers of Lyon. We'll pause at interesting historical sights to chat with you about Lyon and life here.
Lyon is famous for it's food so we'll also be stopping off at two local food shops. At one you'll taste yummy traditional savoury treats and at the other you'll taste a lovely sweet delicacy!
The tour ends back at the Bicycletterie café so you can relax again before heading off on to your next adventure.
We're looking forward to having you along for the ride!
Other things to note
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and dress appropriately for the weather as the rain won't stop us!

You'll be guided by either Véro, JuIie or Marty. Véro and Julie are locals who feel lucky to have guiding tourists as a full time job. Having grown up here they can share plenty of stories and historical facts about the people of Lyon past and present, it's food, culture and where to find good shopping addresses! . Marty arrived in France from Australia in 1996 as a cook. He's passionate about cuisine and relaxes by cycling. He now teaches English and has also been guiding cycling groups in the region's countryside and in the centre of Lyon for the last 4 years.

Martin is an expert guide in tourism and biking. He took me a special and informative tour experience that I can't do that by myself. In particular, Martin is sympathetic and careful, he took good care of me, so I can enjoy a leisurely bike even I am not an experienced biker. Thank you so much.

Martin took us on an enjoyable, informative, and leisurely bike trip down and up the peninsula that is in the middle of Lyon. He's very cordial, attentive and careful. I think anyone could do this tour, learn about the city, get some exercise, and find it rewarding.
So, saddle up, mates (he's from Australia, so he would perhaps use the exact expression)!

Encore merci Martin..
Je recommande
