Hey guys we will start by meeting up at an agreed upon place. Then we will head out to our first bridge of our tour! During our 20-mile drive through Lane County, home to the largest collection of covered bridges you will be learning about the bridges and there history, we will get out to explore alot of them and then we will enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back to your car. Lets enjoy the outdoor a little and see the bridges!

We will start your tour at the corner of Main Street and River Road, where volunteers constructed the Centennial Bridge in 1987 to commemorate the city’s 100th anniversary. They used repurposed materials from two Lane County bridges. The Chambers Bridge is believed to be the only covered railroad bridge remaining west of the Mississippi. It was built in 1925 to transport logs by rail to a local mill, but it was near collapse when Cottage Grove obtained it in 2006. Fundraising from local citizens saved this treasure, which was rebuilt in 2011."
