Wat je gaat doen

We will get to know the city of Budapest in one day! We begin by discovering the history of the Hungarians through the unknown streets and buildings of the Castle district that hides much more than the obvious landmarks. You will get to know stories of the past through the eyes of the locals, together we will gallopp through the story of our city, and how we experienced history in the last few decades.
There is no better way to understand all of it than walking among the buildings that survived against all odds, touching the stones that were used to build up the city and stepping in hidden courtyards of a neighbourhood with an approximately 800 years old history.
Following a quick lunch we embark on our discovery through the Pest side. Here we can marvel at the mesmerising mosaics of the most beautiful building of the city, using one of the oldest underground in the world, getting familiar with the Heroes of the Hungarians, see a unique side to one of the most famous place in Budapest and travel back in time in an autenthic café enjoying a slice of cake. I will show you my favourite buildlings and tell you why they are so special, as well.

Besides the world-famous sights and the oldest café house of the city, we will see hidden memorials and panoramic view to the Pest side from the atelier of the oldest private gallery of Budapest all in the area of Castle district. On the Pest side will show you the best spots the unmissable sights like the Heroes' Square, the Basilica , this is only what you know, but will show you all that is behind the scene with local stories

I had my tour with Gergo. He was a wonderful guide to have! Very personable and knowledgeable about this lovely city. Most tours do not include entry to any cathedrals, but we went in two beautiful cathedrals and hit all of the high points on the buda and the pest side. We also went to an amazing little cafe for a traditional Hungarian treat, had a great lunch, and then finished off the tour with a dessert at a famous little cafe. All the food was AMAZING. You need to book this tour, especially if you only have a couple of days in Budapest because Gergo will show you all of the must-see sights!!

Exploring Budapest with Peter was a unique experience. This tour was a combination of history and sightseeing that involved food and pastries. Even though the tour was over 6 hours, it was perfectly balanced with sights, information and walking breaks and breathtaking sights - making it not only tolerable but quite a pleasant way to spend ones day in Budapest.

If you are looking to see the majestic city of Budapest through the eyes and the steps of a local, this is a diffentively an experience you have to join. Gergő was waiting for us on the exact time as it was announced and from there we met another perspective of Buda and Pest. Gergő always made sure that we were feeling welcomed, comfortable and understanding the amazing story that the city of Budapest has in front of our eyes, but not easily discovered if we haven't joined this tour. Gergő was highly attentive to my mother and always made sure that she would understand the overal content of the information was providing to us (he has quite good level of English). At first sight you might think twice due to the lenght of 6 hours and half walking tour, however, you're not rushed and there are plenty of opportunities to sit and relax. 5 stars, both for the content, the city and to Gergő!
