Wat je gaat doen
Our guests will enjoy a unique experience with our amazing ponies and experienced staff. We will meet at a cafe in the Old Quarter for a traditional Vietnamese coffee (Nau or Egg Coffee), then we will head to our barn to get acquainted with the animals. Spend the morning or afternoon riding our well-trained ponies through traditional villages, rice fields, and along the Red River.
Each rider will be matched perfectly with one of our trail ponies based on weight, height and level of experience. Lauren and an additional instructor will guide you along the trail. There are plenty of photo opportunities; water buffalo, cows, ducks, chickens, and other animal life are commonly spotted throughout the ride. After the 60-minute ride, you can brush your pony and give her a snack.
Upon returning to the stables, we will head back to central Hanoi. Along the way, a traditional Vietnamese meal awaits you. Water is provided and beer is available for purchase.
*French guide also available
**Bookings with 4+ people will receive a $5 discount per person.
♞ Horse riding is an expensive sport. The price per person is the minimum price I can charge without losing money when only one person is on the tour.
♞ The cost of the tour covers: your coffee, water, meal, transportation, the ride for you and for me, and airbnb’s 20% fee.
♞ Please message me for ways we can reduce the cost of the tour
Other things to note
—No riding experience required. We will be riding at a slow pace.
—Your personal travel insurance may not cover horseback riding.
—Small bags only (fanny pack/bum bag) are allowed on the ride

Xin chào quý khách! Welcome to Vietnam.
I'm Lauren, a 30-y/o American expat living in Hanoi. I've been here for 3 years and have discovered many lesser-known sites, foods, and activities in the area.
I've been riding horses for more than 15 years (jumping, hunter, saddleseat, western), and was thrilled to discover a place that both cares well for their ponies, and provides a unique, safe perspective of Hanoi outside of the Old Quarter.
My passion for Vietnam and horses has led me to want to show people this beautiful country from the back of well-cared-for rescue ponies.

I went horseback riding with my boyfriend today. We both had such a Great time! And it turned out to be more than just horseback riding.
We Met up with Lauren and her mom at a café and had the Best lunch we’ve had since We came (Laurens favorite). Lauren is very sweet and kind and easy to talk to. She has so much knowledge about the city. We wish We Met her earlier, so We had all the tips We Got from her. (She would be a Great guide for you!)
After lunch We drove to the horses. It was my boyfriends first time horsebackriding and everyone was so helpful and kind. He felt totally safe! I would recommend if you are advanced; talk to Lauren about a longer trip, so you Can really ride the horses.
This is a must do in Vietnam!

Incredible experience! It’s not far from Hanoi City and we enjoyed the ride with ponies so much. The whole session was quite long and worth the money. Ensure that you pick the nice weather date for the activity since you will spend around 30-45 minutes riding them around the rice field and nice neighbourhood with friendly local people. Lauren was really helpful and really insightful with pony and horse’s information. She knows the city really well. We enjoyed it so much! Big thanks!!

Overall a decent experience. Directions for meet up time were unclear from the host resulting in being an hour late and having to push back the timings which almost caused the experience to be cancelled. The track was also less through the countryside than expected and more just through a little town. Lauren was very friendly and we still enjoyed the ride itself.

We had a fabulous time! It was an extra special birthday experience for my daughter turning 10. From a uniquely Vietnamese breakfast to egg coffee and egg hot chocolate and finally a ride through the countryside on beautiful ponies. Even for absolutely beginners like us, we felt very comfortable and safe. All in all we would highly recommend this experience for young and old. Thank you Lauren!
