We will visit all the most important places that had made this family one of the most powerful in Europe for three centuries. we will talk about the biographies of the most important family members : Giovanni di Bicci, Cosimo the Elder, Piero the gouty, Lorenzo the Magnificent till Cosimo the First. I will guide you into the origins of modern banking and its troubled relationship with art and religion. While being carried away in Florence intriguing past, you will be able to see the city's beating center, breath in its vibrant and charming atmosphere and walk past many of its must-visit famous monumnets and sights. From Piazza San Marco where the young Michelangelo started sculpting marble under the patronage of Lorenzo the magnificent, passing through Palazzo Medici Riccardi, We will arrive at the Duomo where Lorenzo's brother Giuliano was killed in the famous Pazzi's conspiracy. Under the famous Vasarian corridor, we head to the Pitti Palace the third and last house of the Medici family in Florence.

Fantastic tour through Florence with excellent stories over the Medici and the city. We’ve learned a lot in those 2 hours. Andrea was easy to understand, friendly and had much know-how! We enjoyed the stories and the sightseeing very much. At the end of the tour Andrea had a small present for us, that made the tour even more personell :-)
