As your tango guide, I will arrange for you to attend a Sacramento milonga—a place where locals come to dance Argentine tango, sometimes with live musicians, and sometimes with a short performance by visiting dance pros. A group tango lesson is SOMETIMES available - I'm not a teacher, so it depends on the program for each specific evening. If you're new to tango, I'll share a few stories about how tango began on the docks of Buenos Aires and spread around the world. I'll point out some of the etiquette, rules and rituals, and will show you how to adopt a tango attitude! When the milonga begins, I will lead and encourage intrepid novices try out some steps! If you're already a dancer, I'll give you the lowdown on who's who, where to dance in the area, and help introduce you to the Sacramento tango community.
