Wat je gaat doen

Starting at sea level, you'll climb 500ft gently to reach spectacular views... Route 1 (4hrs) Harbour to riverside woodland - Starting at the Lynmouth Rhenish Tower you'll trek through the wooded East Lyn River valley to Watersmeet (relatively flat) spotting a host of wildlife and lots of evident history. Some foraging and learning along the way... Climb to top woodland path - we'll follow up the beautiful stream in the to a flat woodland path to try and spot deer, cuckoos, other birds and possibly hares. In late summer, we'll experience myrtleberry/bilberry foraging. Woodland to Field to coastal moorland- Flattening out we'll be rewarded with a view across the Bristol Channel and south across wild moorlands. After stopping at Blue Ball inn, crossing A39, we'll spot Exmoor ponies and follow a flat walk to Foreland point, spotting moorland birds, Lundy Island, the two towns and possibly deer. Return to Lynmouth - we'll descend down my favourite view of Exmoor on the SW coast path back to Lynmouth harbour, looking across to south Wales. Here, we will forage and learn tree ID skills. Arriving at the Manor and back to Rhenish tower, theres a chance for a cuppa and cake!

Watersmeet - you'll walk past the wooded East Lyn River discovering wildlife, with some spring/summer/autumn foraging and learning, before arriving at Watersmeet House. Meer tips

The nature of the terrain is very undulating, steep at times and sometimes strenuous, so a good pair of walking boots/shoes with ankle support is advised. Pace - I will keep the pace around 3km/h.
